(Sorry, kind of a short chapter)

Neither of them sleep a wink that night, but instead stay in for most of the day, the only time going outside is when John insists they get fresh air.

They go for a walk in the park, hand in hand, watching the kids and the other people.

What John finds weird is that Sherlock doesn't whisper deductions about the people in John's ear. He doesn't look troubled but it doesn't seem like him.

John shrugs it off and smiles, squeezing his boyfriend's hand. Their path takes them to downtown London, Where they prowl the streets and enter stores here and there, Sherlock insisting on buying useless things like that book holder that we saw in an antique shop.

"Come on John, we need that!"

"Sherlock, no! It's almost 6 feet tall, and you don't even read books that often."

"No, but you do, and think it would look nice in the flat!" He tries to drag John into the shop, but he resists.

"No, I will not let you buy that!"

Sherlock pouts until I buy him ice cream from a special shop and he licks the soft serve with a smile on his face.

'I swear Sherlock, you're like a child." John chuckles as they walk down the street, attracting attention from strangers, partly due to 2 men walking together, the other part is a man eating ice cream in almost winter weather, but their smiles never fade. Neither of them pay any attention to the other people, only to each other.

Conversation is shared and Sherlock insists on taking selfies, although John doesn't see the point.

"Sherlock, I don't understand why you always want to do this." John looks over at Sherlock as he sticks his tongue out and snaps a picture.

"We're saving memories John!"

John smiles and intertwines his fingers with Sherlock's. "Can't argue when you put it like that."

Sherlock smiles, proud to have won John over to his belief about selfies.

The sky begins to get dark and the couple finds themselves in a spot where they've been before. "Are we going in circles?" Sherlock asks confused.

"Good deduction Sherlock." John rolls his eyes and they start walking back towards the flat, a route that both of them are familiar with. Sherlock opens the door for John and they walk up the stairs, side by side, which is a bit squishy in the small stairway, but neither of them care. They only care about being with each other.

"Thanks for today Sherlock." John says as he puts on his pajamas.

"No, thank you John." His voice is slightly slurred because of the toothbrush he has hanging from his mouth, but John just laughs and shakes his head, excited to sleep their first night together in over a year.

Just the feeling of laying next to each is enough.
