Arthur was mad, you could tell as the horse sped to the castle. It was heard as the horse's hooves echoed in the courtyard. It was seen as he stormed up the stairs to the physician's chambers. The door burst open as Gaius was preparing a potion.
"Sire! You're not meant to be back until Wednesday!"
"Slight change of plans!" Gaius was worried, Arthur was furious for some reason, and he hadn't seen Merlin. Arthur ran up the stairs to Merlin's room. Gaius followed, confused as to what was going on.
"Are you alright, Arthur?" Arthur disregarded Gaius until he'd torn up the entire little room, except the floorboards. He threw them away, one at a time. Gaius was scared now, did he know? Arthur pulled something from a floorboard, a book.
"Did you know about this!" Arthur shouted, holding Merlin's spell book up.
"Arthur..."
"Merlin is a sorcerer! He has magic! He's betrayed you, Gaius! Betrayed Camelot!"
"Talking of the boy, where is Merlin?"
"That isn't important! Did you know he practised magic in Camelot? Yes or no! Were you aware that he is a SORCERER?" he spat the word at Gaius, showing his pure hate for the people like Morgana's kind.
"M'lord... I think you'll find it's warlock, not sorcerer..."
A/N: Yes, Arthur is acting like a child who's lollipop got taken away, but his best friend has a trait he's been brought up to hate, and Morgana's war doesn't help the situation. And I did leave Merlin in the forest... I'm a bad person, I know... I'll try to make it up to you with a longer chapter, okay?
