One month has passed since the incident. One month since Stiles fell into a coma. To Scott, it feels like it has been a lifetime. Each day is worse than the last. The pain in Scott's heart keeps getting worse. He tries to hide his pain from his friends and family, but it's hard. It's hard for him to sit next to Stiles in the hospital every day and talk to him without ever getting a response. Stiles has never showed any sign of hearing anything that Scott or anyone else says to him. Scott spends most of his nights crying, wishing that Stiles would crawl into the bed beside him and hug him tightly and kiss him softly, assuring him that everything will be okay. Unfortunately for Scott, that never happens. He tries to stay focused on school and lacrosse, as he knows that's what Stiles would want him to do. It's not easy though. Even the littlest of things that remind him of Stiles, even just a sarcastic remark, will send Scott into a world of pain and sadness. He tries not to break down in class. He saves that for home. However, he still has to let out his pain somehow. Scott turns his pain and sadness into aggression, lashing out on anyone who happens to be near by. That's usually a teacher who is asking him a question. He has already landed himself in detention six times in the past month. Melissa has not been too impressed by Scott's behavior at school. She understands that Scott is upset, but that doesn't mean he can shout at teachers and insult them just for asking Scott a question to see if he has been paying attention in class. Melissa had a big lecture with Scott about it yesterday.
Today however, was different. It started off like any other miserable day with Stiles still in a coma at the hospital. Scott walks into the school, keeping his head low and arms folded across his chest. He doesn't want to talk to anyone. He's not in the mood to put up with anyone. Scott starts walking towards his locker so he can grab his AP Biology stuff when he accidentally bumps into Jackson. "Whoops, sorry McCall. Didn't see you there." Jackson smirks. His two friends, Michael and Tyson, snicker at Jackson's comment. Scott rolls his eyes and holds back a growl. "Get out of my way, Jackass." Scott says coldly as he shoves Jackson out of the way. He still hasn't forgiven Jackson for bullying Stiles and presumably many other students. Scott wonders how the hell he ever became friends with a jerk like him. "Ooh, what's wrong, McCall? You seem like you're in a bad mood today." Jackson taunts as he walks up besides Scott. The lacrosse captain turns to his ex-friend and scowls at him. "It's none of your business. Leave me alone." Scott snaps before pushing Jackson into a locker, causing a loud bang. Students in the area gasp at the sight, but Scott doesn't care. Scott just turns around and continues to make his way towards his own locker. He quickly opens it and grabs the stuff he needs. Scott slams his locker door shut before storming down the hall to AP Biology, wanting to get there before the bell rings so he can make a good impression on the teacher, as his mother told him to do.

Finally, after three classes, Scott has a free period. Scott sighs in relief and rushes out of the English classroom. He slings his bag over his shoulders and walks down the hall. Scott decides that he'll just hang out in the library, just as he has been doing most days recently. He enjoys the peace and quiet. Maybe he will find a good book to read that can take him away from this horrible reality. The corridors are quiet. This is a rare occurrence at Beacon Hills High School. It usually only happens before or after school or when only a few students have free periods. Scott's footsteps echo loudly in the hallway. As he turns a corner, he bumps into Jackson again. Scott narrows his eyes at Jackson. "Watch where you're going, idiot. Or get yourself some glasses." Scott says with acid in his tone before starting to walk past Jackson. However, before he gets too far, Jackson says something that stops Scott in his tracks. "How's your pathetic little boyfriend doing?" Jackson asks mockingly. Scott spins around to face Jackson, his face going a little red with anger. Scott clenches his fists together. "He's in hospital. In a coma. So yeah, I would say he's not doing so good. By the way, he's not pathetic. You are." Scott snarls at Jackson. The cocky boy just takes a step towards Scott with a sneer on his face.
