Sebastian’s P.O.V.
As a Demon, I don’t necessarily need sleep like humans may; I never delved into it considering I always needed to be aware to keep my Master safe. But when I woke up the next morning, feeling more energized and well rested than I have in centuries; I was awakened by the most beautiful sound.
“ All my life, is changing every day, In every possible way… In all my dreams, it’s never quite as it seems, never quite as it seems!”
Though I immediately recognized the owner of such a feathery sing-song voice; I still couldn’t help but watch in wonder as the stubborn raven haired girl spun around her bedroom, the morning lights hitting her with gentle caresses.
She hadn’t noticed my awakening, her eyes closed as she sang softly to the music booming from a small stereo in the corner.
She no longer wore her night gown, but a beautiful simple white flowing dress, the skirt spinning as she did.
Am I dreaming…?
Before, the girl walked around with a glowing aura of confidence, despite her obvious loss. Now… the aura is still there, glowing bright; but a sense of ease and peace has made itself present. It felt powerful, almost overwhelming. Even a Witch shouldn’t feel quite this powerful; she’s still a mortal after all.
“You’re awake, Demon?”
I blinked, startled.
“Yes, Young Mistress… How did you know?”
She smiled, opening her eyes, the absence of her eye patch noticeable in the pentagram in her purple eye.
“Ah, you doubt my skills, Sebastian.” She giggled, spinning again.
I can definitely say; she makes dancing with a broken arm look quite graceful.
I couldn’t help but chuckle at her comment, noticing with slight sly embarrassment, I am still shirtless. Lucy noticed as well, admiring with blunt eyes.
“You’d better get dressed before Vicky decides to drop in and behead you.” She said, smiling.
I raised an eyebrow, doing as instructed.
“May I ask you a question, Young Mistress?”
“You may ask, but I can’t always promise you I will answer you the way you want to be answered, Sebastian.” She hummed, twirling with the beat.
I took that into consideration, pondering my Mistress; would she answer my question?
“… Victoria seems to be… of supernatural sorts. But I can’t seem to sense what sort of power or trait she has; can you tell me why she thinks she can possibly break our contract?”
She immediately stopped her dancing, holding me with a confused gaze.
“She threatened you, huh?”
I nodded, tying my tie quickly and neatly.
Rolling her eyes, she went over to the stereo on her dresser to change the song.
“Vicky is a Necromancer.”
I stopped buttoning my sleeve immediately, looking up in surprise.
“You mean… she can communicate with the dead?”
She nodded, settling on a song and putting her IPod down.
“Pretty much; though that’s really not giving her enough credit. She has the power to do much more than just talking to someone who’s passed on. Just as the stereotype for Witch’s is that we ride on a broomstick and curse people; as you know there is much more to it.”
