CHAPTER TWELVE

Standing behind Anya and before the council. The lords of vampires, the alphas of werewolf's. The human presidents are just figure heads for that country. Dad and uncle were at the other end of the table. Dad looking at me and Anya with questions. Fear. Nervous. I pat Anya's shoulders telling her it's alright and I'm here. Adrian stood at the back leaning against a wall.  " what's this about " dad asks, " An " I tell her. We had took her wraps off and the cuts were still there but would heal in weeks time. Anya rolls up her sleeves and shows her cuts. Dad jumps up and rushes over to Anya. " Anya what did- " dad says but stops mid sentence due to shock and panic. " dad. I have to tell you about the summer " Anya says and tells. About the tiger, the mall. Yes also about me dyeing. Dad almost aunts at that. Ha! It's not even my first time Daddy. And about the real reason we went to Rome. And then her attacks int eh summer about the first cut, then how she felt a trance this time making her do it. Also about her panic attacks that I was able to calm her down from. All in all everyone was shocked and dad looked like he was gonna have a heart attack. He looks at Anya with sorrow then they go to me. " you knew? " he asks, " and you didn't tell me " his voice shocked and disappointed. " what was I gonna say. " I whisper, " that I died, and it's probably not even my first time "  I say, dad eyes cross from shock. " How- " I cut him off, " the accident dad " I whisper. He couldn't move. He looks at me eyes tearing. " messing adjourned. This information is to stay int his room " dad commands, every days yes your majesty doing the promise and leaves. Adrian going with his father an looks at me, nods sadly and leaves. I look up at dad and at uncle. His face really pale too pale, his hair a full grey now, and he was now in a wheelchair, and had blood machine worth him at all times. I couldn't look at my uncles and dad faces.

I sit on the grass in front of the river. It was so quiet and it was a perfect way to be away from the world. Dad said nothings to me, he took Anya and they left to go to the doctors. He was mad like I always knew he would. I couldn't cry. I didn't have any left. " You told him " I turn to see Carson, " he hates me " I say and turn back to the river. " he doesn't. I know he doesn't. He's probably just upset you wouldn't tell him. " Carson says, " how would you know " I ask him, " Adrian told me. " he says, " your dad and him spoke. Your dad told him he would've wanted to help to capture those three " he says. His black eye was better. It was just a normal bruise now. " your eye looks better " I say, he smiles. " it doesn't feel better " he says and winces. I look back at the river. " give him time. " Carson says, I nod. " there's a dance in three days. For the beginning of the Christmas dance you know " Carson says, I smile. " I better look through my closet then " I smile at him, he smiles and we just stay quiet and look at the river. It moved with a nice rhythm. I wish life went like that.

I had nothing I could wear to this Christmas dance. Me and Logan are going together and Bianca apparently is going with Margaret and Susan to find dates at the dance. I wasn't gonna leave Logan side till then. I wasn't gonna let Bianca get her hands on MY boyfriend. Dad and I haven't spoken and I will give him space. I know he's probably disappointed in me..but I kept Anya safe. That's all that matters to me. I searched and searched when I'd found it. A white dress that went to my knees and had half sleeves. The sleeves and upper area were see through. It was a beautiful dress. I grab the dress and take it off the hanger then hide it in a box under the clothes. I walk to my bed and grab my computer. I grab the CDs and put one in. I place my ear plugs in and turn it on. " come on Sophia. Smile for mommy " I feel the tears building up in my eyes, " Come baby. Smile for mom-that's my baby's girl " I smile and a tear falls. Mom. I really couldn't let her go.
