The betrayal

CHAPTER FIFTEEN

I really have a habit of waking up in hospitals. I look over to my side to see Anya. She was in a ball of tears till I touch her hand. She looks at me and squeals coming into me into a tight hug. " your awake " she says, I hug her back with a tight grip, at least as tight as I could with my one arm in a cast. " your awake " I turn to see dad and the dr. The dr inspects me, making sure I was alright in the brain, eyes, my reflexes okay. Stuff like that. When I'm okay to go I stand up. Anya leaves to go find Adrian and I look at dad as I fix my hair. " what " I ask him, my voice In a whisper. " I was worried " dad says, " I want you to tell me things for now on Sophia. Everything " dad says coming over to me. " I don't know how to trust people dad " I tell him, he nods understanding. But he wouldn't. " please Sophia " dad says, I nod. " where's Carson " I ask turning to him. " he's okay honey. He's with your friends " dad says, I nod and look to see Adrian come running in hugging me tightly. " I was so worried " he whispers. I wrap my arms around him and hug him back. " your right I am too reckless " I whisper in his ear so only he could hear. " that's what I love about you " he says, I smile.

It's been two mouths since that all happened. Uncle was in prison awaiting trial. Everything was pretty normal besides that. But it was almost Christmas break, which also meant almost second semester. Dad and I were close again, same with me and An. An was getting council ing with everything. I had to admit. I liked that I had people I could trust. I also told Maddie about being an alchemist and she said she'd help us. But the things was, was that strange things with Bianca and Logan were going on. She started sitting beside him and he started acting like she was his girlfriend till I came around. I don't know why but I wasn't really that hurt. Till...I found out he cheated on me. With Bianca..I guess I saw it coming. But I think it's a good thing. Stick to people who are loyal to me. Me, Tasha, Emily and Carson sat most of the time with Maddie at a table away from everyone but close to Anya. I was ready for my years at the academy. And this threat for me and Anya...I'm ready to face him. He can ring it on!

Walking down the court yard I turn and my eyes turn gold. My life was coming to a new adventure. And it may take some heart break, but with my friends and family I'll manage. I turn back to the academy and skip to the front stairs as happy as I can.
