Madeline POV:
My Uncle and aunt's were staring at me with wide eyes maybe because I've lost all the color from my face or maybe they're waiting for me to explode like a ticking bomb.
"Madeline please turn around". I heard the man voice.
The voice of the man who taught me to pronounce the name of my favorite players, who taught me to play, who sang with me every morning while dropping me to the school. I remember that voice because I'd been hearing it in my dreams from the day I found out he died.
Am I imagining them again? Am I hearing them because I've missed them most in the past few weeks?
"You need to be strong". My grandmother said kissing my head.
I closed my eyes for a moment to relax myself and when I opened them again and realized everyone left me in the lounge with two people or with ghosts I'm not sure.
I felt my body trembling but whatever energy is left in me I turned around and came face to face with my parents.
My mom was crying, the tears were rolling down from her eyes while she was clutching my father's arm tightly. She looked exactly same except the small scar of stitches on the left side of her forehead. Her blonde hair just like mine were resting on her head in a messy bun few tendrils were falling around her face. She was dressed in a knee length cream color dress, her petite height and slim figure was making her look more younger. Even in the state of pure hysteria she still looks beautiful.
I glanced at the man beside her and felt the ripples of shock in my body making me stumble back by an unseen force. The man was no one else but my dad. The man who I believed was dead for almost fourteen years. He looks alright to me, breathing and alive standing in front of me and staring with the same hazel eyes as mine.
He took the step forward to me leaving his crying wife and involuntary I took the step back, the hurt flashes on his face making him still.
What am I supposed to do hug them and asked them where they have been for fourteen years of my life while I thought they were dead all this time and cried everyday and every night.
Is this even real? Or someone is playing a sick prank with me making me see illusions of my parents.
"Madeline please relax and hear us".My dad said with the softest voice that he'd used on me in the past so many times when he wanted me to understand something.
For a second I thought I don't know how to speak,my voice got stuck somewhere in my throat and my eyes were switching from his face to mom's face every second.
"Are you both alive?". I asked them feeling thousands of question emerging from my mind.
"We're very much alive". He said making me feel like someone just punched me.
"For fourteen years of my life I thought you guys were d.. dead". I said stuttering.
"No we were not dead". My dad replied and finally the tear rolled down from my eyes as the realization dawned on me.
