Chapter Forty-Six

Brandon's POV:

I left Madeline at her house and went back to hotel to change and rest before I will meet my son.

Madeline told me that she has a plan I was ecstatic. She said she will bring Bryan to his favorite pizza shop tonight where we will have dinner as a family first time. Then she said I could offer Bryan some ice cream because that's what he loves to eat.

When I was a kid I used to love ice cream. Until now whatever Madeline has informed me about Bryan I realized that he sounds a lot like me.

I smiled thinking about my son.

But I still couldn't understand why Laura didn't say anything? How she pretend not to know anything about Bryan for six years?

Laura has already done so much to ruin my life but now I won't let her ruin my future too.

I can't fathom for my life why she wants to meet me. Next week she and Paul have trial in court and I need to be there too. But Laura requested to meet me before trial and I don't know what she is planning now.

I heard my cellphone rang and picked it up.

"Hello Matt. Anything new?". I asked him.

"Yeah. You need to come back as soon as possible". Matt said sounding worried.

"Why? Is there any problem?". I asked him.

"Laura gave me deadline. She said if you didn't came to meet her she will .....". Matt stopped and took the deep breath.

"What it is Matt?". I asked him.

"Her lawyer informed me that she is pregnant". Matt said.

My heart dropped in the pit of my stomach I struggled to breathe. She must be lying.

"Is there a chance that it's a lie?". I asked him.

"I don't think so. She went through the routine test under the police custody. Her reports can't be fake". He said.

I massaged my head as the painful headache started to build.

"What do you suggest I do?". I asked Matt.

"I suggest you get the first flight back to Boston". He said.

"Okay. See you then". I said ending the call.

What am I going to tell Madeline?

If the truth will come out Madeline will be broken. And there is a possibility the baby is not mine. She was with that Paul guy and it might be his baby. After all they had been in a relationship for last five years behind my back and the father of this baby could be him.

I called the airport and the only flight available for Boston today will be leaving in an hour.

But I want to meet Bryan before leaving for Boston.

I called Madeline and she picked up on the second ring.

"Hello, sweetheart". I said.

"Hello Mr.Desperate". She said in a singsong voice.

"Mr.Desperate really?". I asked her in disbelief.

"You are calling after an hour of dropping me off at my house so why shouldn't I call you Mr.Desperate?". She asked making me smile.

"Okay I get it. Actually I'm calling you to ask if I can meet Bryan now". I asked her.

"Why? I still haven't talked to him about you because he is out with my parents". Madeline said.
