I awoke with a start. Not because of noise, or because of someone shaking me awake. No, I woke because there was no noise, no one shaking me awake. I quickly sat up, rubbed my eyes, and looked around. The room was entirely empty, not a single soul in it. Not that the people here have souls anyways. I felt a small wave of panic rush through me. I've never been alone here. Even when I've been in my capsule, there was always someone there, watching my every move. I felt uncomfortable with them constantly staring at me, but learned how to bury it inside my chest. It has always been there,  the unaccustomed feeling of being important, the object someone would watch. Even if it was there job, and they preferred not to watch me, it still felt odd, but made me feel more important. I knew that feeling wouldn't go away quickly, and it still hasn't, I just learned to level out that feeling, so I could get it under control. Now, there was a whole new feeling. The feeling of not having anyone there to watch me. I knew I should be glad, but I had that feeling rooted in me, like a plant, and not having anyone there, felt like a sharp tug on the plant, its roots growing deeper, making a permanent home in my chest.

I tried to get up, but the cuffs prevented it. I threw my head back onto the pillow with a puff of air, somewhere between a sigh and a yell. Then the door quickly opened and a pretty girl with black hair walked in, and I knew she couldn't be much older than me.

"Good, you're awake." She replied without much enthusiasm at all.

"Yah, great." I said under my breath, she quickly un-cuffed me and left the room, before I could say anything. I rubbed my sore wrists and got up to stretch my legs, only to trip over something and successfully scrape my arm. I sighed and examined the scrape, seeing it was far less worse than many other injuries I've received. I quickly got up and looked for what I tripped over, and found a small bag, peeking out under the bed. I quickly pulled it out and examined it, dumping out all of the contents it held. It had a water bottle, a small slice of bread, a new pair of clothes, and a note. It read-

Get changed and eat, then meet me at your training room. -N

Obeying his orders I ate and changed, feeling the soft clean fabric slide over my slightly more content stomach. I put the bag back underneath the bed, then walked cautiously alone down the hallway, trying not to get caught. I succeeded. I quickly walked into the room to see Niall sitting in a chair against the wall, appearing bored. He lazily looked up, and I could see he had been waiting a while.

"You're finally here." He said, not exactly rude.

"Sorry to keep you waiting. But no one woke me up. There was no one there." I replied.

"That's because I sent them away."

      "Why?"

"Well, I am the one in charge of you. And because I didn't want them too take you here. You're not exactly supposed to have this room."

"Hmm. So its your fault I'm late." I answered boredly. He gave me a small glare before I looked down, not wanting to get on his bad side. Just because he's helping me, doesn't mean he can't quit.

"Lets just get started." Good idea. I thought.

We practiced forming my orbs for a while, and it was the same as yesterday, but we were both mesmerized by the tiny little floating sphere I formed. We practiced that for most of the time. And I would make sphere after sphere, feeling just as ecstatic as the first time. After a while (when I had absolutely no energy left, and I could hardly stand up straight) he preformed some tests on me. Nothing major. Just to see the difference in height, weight, etc.. After we finished that, I walked over to the tiny green plant in the dark red pot in the corner of the room.

"Hey buddy!" I whispered. I did a quick examination of the plant, seeing it was just as healthy as it had been the day before. "Looking good!" I cracked a small smile at the plant before I whispered a goodbye to it, and retreated to my room. As soon as I hit my bed, I felt sleep wash over me.
