Lidia and Cathy came off the elevator to the sight of Norman banging on their suite door, pleading and yelling for Jen to let him in. "Dude!" Lidia called out, drawing his attention. "Touch my door again and I'll break that hand. I gave you a pass last night, you won't get one today." Norman just laughed. Cathy's eyes went wide, "Uh, you're definitely in the danger zone. LJ will fuck you up." He stopped laughing and looked between both women.
Lidia advanced to Norman, getting closer the more she spoke. "I dunno dafaq your mental malfunction is. But logically my girl doesn't want to see you or speak to you. So, FUCK OFF!" She yelled in his face. Norman looked to Cathy who just looked embarrassed and apologetic. He nodded, looking pissed and walked down the hall without a word. Lidia and Cathy walked into the suite, Cathy locking the door behind them. Jen was sitting on the closest couch, her back to them. Her head resting on the back of the couch. As they both proceeded into the common area both friends saw that her eyes were closed, and she was already dressed, ready for the con. "JenJen?" Lidia spoke gently, "You good?"
Jen slowly opened her eyes and sighed. "Yeah, totally cool, fishie. Just didn't feel like swimming again today." Her voice completely monotone. Lidia just stared at her, waiting for more, not believing a word that just came out of her best friend's mouth. Lidia had seen Jen get pulled into the pool by Norman and what followed, but Charlie had distracted her from intervening. She couldn't help but wonder what else had happened with Norman after the jerk followed Jen. After a few moments it was clear Jen wasn't willing to share. "Chased Reedus Peen away. Wanna talk about it?" Lidia tried.
Jen just shook her head 'no', then her voice boomed with fake enthusiasm. "Y'all need to get dressed so we can go get our Con on! You know we gots some judging to do and shit." She tried to play things off but Lidia still wasn't buying it. Cathy, stayed out of it, "If that's what JenJen says, then that's what it is." She mumbled. Lidia just nodded, ending the matter before pivoting and heading for her room. Cathy and Lidia got themselves together, ready to restart the day. First up on the schedule after flashing those gold VIPs at the entrance today was The Walking Dead panel, with the entire main cast. The girls found seats pretty much slam in the middle of the audience. Neither Lidia nor Jen seemed overly enthused as they waited. However Cathy was down right giddy and chatting up a storm. That was their Chatty Cathy. She quickly gave up trying to engage her morose friends and started up a conversation with some fan girls to her right.
Eventually the cast emerged, taking seats at the table on the stage. They leisurely filed out and Norman's eyes immediately found Jen. He was grinning at her like a buffoon, she pretended not to notice. Jeff seemed to be in the same trance, when he crossed that stage, last to emerge. Jen's eyes were locked with Jeff's, a completely different reaction than she had with Norman. Lidia noticed a change in her best friend since Jeff appeared on the stage, a small smile appeared on Jen's face. Her first one since before they had hit the pool gate that morning. "Me thinks Masta Penguin be in loooooove!" Lidia playfully teased, bumping shoulders with her friend. Jen chuckled, giving her bestie a slight shove and the finger. But she was wearing a genuine smile. "Shut it, biotch. Or I may just reconsider our friend status." Lidia stuck her tongue out at Jen before responding with a laugh, "Fat chance! You're stuck with meh!"
The panel seemed to breeze by, even though fans were asking quite a variety of questions. Nothing overly interesting, as far as Jen and Lidia were concerned. A shame since this was something they had previously been bursting with anticipation to attend. Cathy had been chosen not once, but twice to be able to stand up and ask questions. Their friend was positively glowing from the opportunity.
