Chapter 8

The next morning I didn't wear my mrs carter shirt. I couldn't deal with this I was pretty torn up about this. I didn't want to be dumped because Carter's girlfriend came to town. So this time I wore my black shorts my nashty shirt. Mahogany took my French braids out as my hair fell perfectly down in tight waves. My blue converse on my feet and my taylor caniff phone case clipped to my phone. Mahogany already headed down there so I headed down by my self with my blue side purse tight against my neck.

When I got to my side I was paired up next to carter.

"Digging the shirt." Nash laughed walking over to me.

"Thanks." I smiled getting closer to nash.

"Hey I don't see my shirt on you." Carter pouted.

"I never got one I forgot." I lied.

Carter laughed and walked over to matt.

After they called our names out and we got into our VIP lines was when carter talked to me again.

"Why have you been avoiding me?"

I glared at him as a fan came up to me and hugged me.

"You guys are so cute together." She said pointing to me and carter. I laughed and smiled for the picture.

This is pretty much how it went for two hours.

As The line started to go away and I was about to walk away carter grabbed me.

"What did I do?"

"I know your still interested in Sydney. For peat sacks carter I know she's here so you know what forget it I've dropped the little middle school crush. So go be with Sydney I don't care anymore. I made the wrong decision of thinking this would actually work." I cried. But this time I actually started to cry. Now we had both lines staring at us and Shawn and matts line. I bolted out from the crowds sight behind the curtain and ran upstairs.

"JESS!!!!" It was Cam.

"It's fine cam I just need to go find my glasses." I lied hiding behind the corner.

He found me.

"No you aren't fine." He said wiping my tears away.

"Thanks cam."

"No problem Jess." He said kissing my forehead and walking off. "You should probably come back out. " He added smiling.

I nodded and got up pacing back and forth in the room. I literally just exploded on carter in front of a thousand people.

I texted him.

J: I can't even explain how sorry I am for saying all of that stuff.

It took carter a few minutes to answer.

C: after the show we need to talk.

J: alright.

I was nervous I knew it this was going to be the end of Carter and Jess. I wiped my eyes nervously and throwing away the tears.

And that's when I remembered what carter told me the other night.

"Jess I will love you no matter what. your small freckles crossing your nose your red long straight hair. Sense of humor. It's all perfect."

That was when I realized me and carter should just break up. Cause everything works out better being best friends.
