Chapter 7

Lauren's POV

I just absolutely couldn't tell Jess about who I just saw with carter it would kill her.

*flashback*

I was walking back up the stairs from watching Jess doing her totally stupid skit that her and Taylor were doing. Before I went around the corner I grabbed a diet coke from the vending machine and cracked it open. I was seconds away from taking a sip when I saw carter talking to a girl. And that girl was the girl that I know from twitter.

That's when I remembered who it was.

It was Sydney. Aka Carter's crush back in North Carolina.

My diet coke dropped from my hand and from my mouth and hit the floor.

Carter looked at me and I froze.

"Sydney I'll talk to you later."

He came running towards me.

"Carter I can't believe you. What about Jess? Are you just going to forget her and leave me to tell her how you went back to Sydney? Cause that's un mature." I said walking away.

"Lauren I can't promise anything but me and Sydney are just friends."

"I'll believe that when I hear it come out of her mouth."

"Don't tell Jess please." Carter begged.

"My best friends heart will not break because of you." I said running to my apartment.

*ends flashback*

Jess's POV

I was nervous about what Lauren was going to say. It was about carter and I already knew it.

"Jess... Sydney's here." She said biting her lip in a nervous way.

My mouth dropped as I started to undo my braid.

"Carter's gonna break up with me isn't he." I said on the verge of being upset. It takes a lot more than just a boy to get me to cry.

"No don't think like that. He won't...I hope." She said hugging me.
