"Ashely? Open your eyes so I know you can hear me. Ashely?"
I awoke to doctors and shinning lights. I knew where I was. I was on an ambulance headed to the hospital, but this couldn't be true. I had to be dreaming.
"Jack?" I called trying to scream but it only came out in a whisper. I turned my head slowly to find him on the stretcher next to me. I could feel my eyes tearing up. "Jack?!" I was now crying. It took everything in me to reach my hand over to the stretcher next to me. "Baby, look at me," I called. His head slowly turned over to me, blood was dripping down his once perfect skin and was loosing lots of it. His right check was cautioned bad and was struggling to open his eyes. I could feel the tears dripping off my face landing onto the floor of the moving ambulance. I grabbed his hand and we stared at each other for a minute or two. The sounds of the rushing doctors and the loud siren had faded out and all I kept thinking was "How?" I asked myself that question a million times. I
Could feel a needle being stick into my right arm but my body was numb. Jack was the only thing I could think about. I thought if I could just hold his hand everything was gonna be alright. "Everything's gonna be ok," I thought, "Everything's gonna be ok" I felt the ambulance come to a complete halt, but I just kept my eyes locked on Jack. A doctor soon came into view and broke our hands apart and laid them both on our stretchers. My eyes started watering even more. "No!" I thought, "I need to hold his hand, that's the only way everything will be ok!" But nothing came out, not a word, just tears. Paramedics opened the white doors of the ambulance and I started to be wheeled out, I turned to glance at him one last time. He mouthed the words "I love you." then slowly closed his eyes. "Jack! Jack!" I yelled crying hysterically. I screamed and kicked all I could but no one turned me around. Suddenly I was knocked out cold.
