A Trip to Heaven

Chapter 12

I could see myself hanging from where I was. I watched as my Mom looked at me and fell to the ground sobbing. She then hurried to stand up and run and find the house phone to call 911. I then turned to my right to see the bright white light everyone always talked about. It had a glow that faded as it grew wider, and I was drawn in. I was drawn away from my body in the physical world towards the unknown.

I took steps further into the beaming light and could see not one, but two figures waiting for me in the distance. "JACK!?" I yelled. One of the figures then started running towards me and picked me up in their arms. it was Jack. He let me down and grabbed my face pulling it close to his, gently kissing my lips like he used too. I was gleaming with happiness, I couldn't believe it was him!

When our lips unlocked I could finally get a good look at him. He had a certain glow around him and he looked perfect. Jack definitely looked a lot better from the last time I saw him, back in the ambulance. I still hate bringing that memory back to mind. But now it's ok, Jacks here with me. "I've missed you." I spit out making that shy smile I always made when I looked into his shinning blue eyes.

With his right hand he pulled my hair behind my ear saying, "I've missed you more sweets." Gosh I loved when he called me that. "I've been watching you from up here in the clouds," he exclaimed, "And heard every thought and word you've said," He then paused looking into my eyes, "Why did you do this to yourself Ash?"

"To be with you." I replied back grabbing his soft hands.

"It's not your time Sweetheart."

"What do you mean it's not my time, Jack?" I asked confused.

"You have a whole life to love ahead of you Ash, just because I passed doesn't mean it was your time too." He then kissed my forehead causing me to shiver.

"But I don't want to live without you." I told him as he took his lips off my forehead. He unlocked one of our hands and started walking deeper into the light pulling me along with him.

"That's why we have to convince you to go back to your body."

"Who's we?" I asked causing him to turn around and smile.

"Oh ya, I forgot to tell you, I finally got to met him." He then turned around and kept walking.

"Him?" I thought, "No one else in my family or anyone close to me has passed. Who could "he" be?"

We kept walking towards the mysterious figure until I could make out who it was. I stopped dead in my tracks. "Oh god no," I thought, "This isn't possible."

"Dad?"
