“What - just - happened?!” Ashton bursted into the room.
“I looked at her, and she- she just fell.” My voice was trembling.
“Did anyone tell you not to ever, ever look someone in the eyes when you’re angry?”
“No. And you should know that!” I watched ashton squat down with sad eyes to check her pulse.
“She’s just unconscious. She’s gonna be okay.” He propped her on his shoulder and laid her gently into one of the bunk beds embedded in the walls. I sat in a quiet room again, going through my old pictures. I was thinking about how much I missed everybody from my old town. I moved two years ago, and I still kind of hate it here. We aren’t far. But I’ve known Kelly before we moved. We went to the same church and stuff for a long time. Her parents just travelled to church because they liked the people. Anyway, there were a lot of nice people in that city. I had a lot of guy friends, and my other friends that were girls fangirled with me sometimes, well a lot of times. They taught me things that i will never forget. They gave me memories that have a very big place in my heart. I still talk to them. I went over to my messages and texted one of my guy friends named Tyler.
“hey! haven’t spoken to you in a while.”
“Yeah, too long.”
“how have you been?”
he went on to tell me how he went on vacation with his family and stuff. He also went on to ask me if I was in town because he wanted to visit.
“No, I wish I was.”
“where are you?”
“well, im on a bus.”
I was kind of regretting telling him this, but maybe he can help, I mean, he was always really helpful to me. “I’m going to save the world.”
“XD really? be serious.”
I explained to him what I was, and he told me to facetime him.
the screen popped up, and he still had his thick, black glasses, but he had died his hair a lilac-y color, along with its bleached blonde. My first two words were, “Nice hair.”
he smiled and ten suddenly went serious. He adjusted his camera so i could see him while he was standing up. He said, “I need to show you something.” He was hunched over, and I was smiling, because i thought he wasn’t being serious. Boy, was I wrong. when his back arose to its normal position, it revealed a floating sphere of fire in his hands. It was burning about 5 inches above his hand, and apparently not burning him, because he was perfectly fine. the light of the fire illuminating his face. “T-Tyler..” The bus suddenly stopped. “Hold on, someone’s at the door.” He took the fir into his left hand and crumpled it in a fist, and as soon as it shimmered away, he walked out of his room. The screen was left with just the noise on a car running, and an empty room. Tyler walked in and said, “Gotta go,” and hung up. I laid on my back and stared at the roof of the bus. I heard a door open and close, and heard many people greeting one another. I decided to see what was going on, and saw the bright and shining face of tyler through his glasses.
“Tyler?” I haven’t seen my best fried in two years. Heck yeah, this is gonna get emotional.
“Torey!” He yelled. We ran up to each other and hugged for what felt like an hour. To make the hug more meaningful, I whispered into his ear, “I missed you.” He replied quite quickly with what sounded like, “You have no idea.”
He always knew exactly what to say and when to say it. I couldn’t be any happier. We pulled back from the hug, and sat down at a booth. “So, why are you here?”
