Chapter 11
“Nothing has changed” Hunter said as he followed me to first period.
“I told you” I say.
“I really want to see Jason” Hunter whined.
“I told you, I don’t talk to Jason” I say.
“You should. He doesn’t bite.”
“No but Lily Freedman does”
Hunter groaned.
“Really? Lily Freedman?” he asked.
“I wish I could say no”
Lily Freedom was the definition of annoying and rude. She’s one of Emma’s friends. If that’s what you call her. Half the school hates her but because she’s a cheerleader then she’s popular. Hey, I didn’t make the rules to the social ladder.
I was about to walk into my first period class, Science, when Hunter pulled on my T-shirt.
“Ow, ow, OW! Hunter nobody can see you I must look crazy!” I yell.
“Sorry. Okay look I’m going to waltz around. One thing I don’t miss is Science. I’ll meet you at Lunch” he says.
I groan.
“Please don’t make trouble. Please” I beg.
“I don’t make promises, but I’ll try not to”
Then he walked away, maybe to find Juliet or Emma.
I can see why Emma fell head over heels for him.
Unfortunately.
