The Last Of Her Kind

Chapter 5

Josh's P.O.V

Once the necklace touched my chest I was transported somewhere. I slowly opened my eyes to be greeted by blackness. I quickly blinked and slowly but surely there was light at the end of a hall. Am i dead? where am i? what did she do to me? 

" Please come here josh." I heard the most angelic voice whisper to me. it sounded as if she was right next to me. I looked around but saw nobody. I stood up and took a look around I was now wearing a white suit instead of the clothes I was wearing. 

"Who are you? Where am I?" I asked while walking up to the end of the hall where the light was coming from. I walked out to see a fairly tall, slim, most beautiful woman I have ever seen. Hair black as night, eyes green as the wild forest I roam around everyday, body shaped by the gods.

"Who are you?" I asked again

"I'm the Moon Goddess. Now please you don't anytime time to waste"

"Okay so why am I here?" I ask looking up at her.

" Well I assume that Melissa has told you about the war that will rage on in years time?" She asked

" Yes but I don't understand. How could she just come up with something as crazy as that? and how the hell does she think that she will win this war? Just because she some how gained some Alpha power doesn't mean she's all high and mighty." I barked at her

" Listen she is here to help you. She and her friends are the toughest, smartest and best warrior wolves out there. I asked her to help you. If you do not go through with this you and your whole pack will die." she told me staying eerily calm.

"Pssh that little weakling the best warrior wolf out there! Whatever I bet I could beat her in a snap of my fingers." I knew I could beat her.

"She isnt that small little scared girl anymore. She is tough, tougher than you or anyone." She stated "You will go back and challenge her, if she beats you and your five best fighters then you will let her lead you into this war. If she loses then you can lead her into this war since you think your so good." and with that said I was flashed back into reality.

I woke up with a start, looking around to everyone sitting on my couch staring at me. 

"Ohh look sleeping beauty finally awakes." Melissa said. I quickly took off the necklace and handed it back to her. 

" I Josh Artemis, challenge you Melissa Williams to fight me and my five best fighters to see who will lead this war." i said to her using my alpha command

" what no!! you cant do that!" the other girl said 

"and why is that?" i ask her raising an eyebrow. "What am i not good enough to beat little princess over here." i asked pointing my finger at Melissa.

"No you imbecile, she changed her last name so your request is invalid." one of the boys with dark brown hair said.

"Then whats your last name?" 

"its Astros." the blond one said "As is the rest our last names." 

"Thats impossible! The Astros Clan was wiped out 18 years ago..." 

"Well believe it pretty boy we are the last six remaining pack members from the Starlight Warrior Pack." the big guy in the back who had black hair similar to Melissa's had said. 

"You see Josh, Me and Hunter here are Persilla and Damon Astros' last living children, and That there is our Uncle Matthew Astros, Those three kids sitting there are our new brothers and sister, There parents were all close to my family, so indeed making us a family. As you know The Astros Clan are signature for there Dark Black and white blond hair. Now you josh I will accept your request to see who will lead us into war, but just know that I did warn you." Melissa stated leaving me in a state of shock. How? They were all wiped out. Yet again they did have the high cheek bones, the strong features and the dark black and blond hair that the Astros are known for.

" I, Melissa Astros here by accept your challenge." she stated.

Melissa's P.O.V

" I Melissa Astros here by accept your challenge." With a defiant smirk on my face. He so didn't know what he was getting himself into. I was gonna beat them all within ten minutes tops.

"Okay I will gather my men and meet you in the training grounds in thirty minutes." He said while standing up to leave.

" Well guys looks like i'm gonna be beating some ass today." I said while rubbing my hands together.

"Ohh god, only your first day back and your already getting in to fights." Hunter said while rubbing his temples.

"I agree Mel, its only your fist day." Mathew said while pleading me with his eyes to not go through with this.

" Look, i'm not that small little defenseless girl any more. I'm not gonna come in here helping their sorry asses and still let them push me around. I'm gonna make my presence known. Plus he challenged me, and you all know i don't back down from a challenge." I stated while crossing my arms over my chest.

" I agree with her we cant let them walk all over her anymore." Derek said.

"See at least someones on my side." 

" Were all on your side Mel. " Shay and Drew said at the same time.

" I know. Now come on, lets go watch some sorry ass males get their ass kicked by a girl" I told them while grabbing Shay's and Hunter's hand dragging them out to the training grounds. When we arrived everyone already cleared a spot for the alpha and I's show down.

" Alright your here early. Lets just get this started." Josh stated

" Okay human form fight or our wolf form?" I asked hoping for human form

" We'll go with....human form." he said. I let out a breath of relief and I could also hear my friends doing the same as well.

" Okay well then, who's ass will I be kicking first." I asked while plastering on my signature smirk. 

" Now now, don't get ahead of yourself! you will go against my best fighters first then me." He stated. I just nodded and walked back over to shay handing her my jacket.

" Alright lets get this over with." I said while walking back up to josh to meet my opponent. I stood there facing a really big guy, like his muscles were literally ripping his shirt. he had brown eyes an black hair.

"First one to pin the other wins." Josh said "FIGHT!" Josh yelled.

I start circling him and drowning out all the sounds that surrounded me, only focusing on his heart beat and his movements. He made the stupid mistake of lunging at me first. I quickly sidestepped, making him tumble to the ground.  He stood up and turned to face me but I used my enhanced werewolf speed to get behind him. I also got enhanced skills when I first shifted, no other wolf is as fast as me. 

I leaned down to close to his ear and whispered "BOO!" he quickly turned around and the look on his face was absolutely priceless. I took his confusion and used it to my advantage. I punched him straight in the jaw and heard a sickening snap. He stumbled backwards and I ran up and round housed him straight in the top of his head making him fall on his back. I quickly went and pinned his arms above his head and straddled him. I leaned down to whisper in his ear, " and you sir have been pinned" I said while standing up and walking back to josh.

" So whose next?" I asked him, Josh just had this look of sure terror on his face. He quickly regained himself

" Next!" He screamed. Thats how it went for the next four rounds. Me however never getting a scratch on me, all of my opponents left with broken limbs and jaws, some black eyes, and a few broken ribs. It was finally time to face against josh.

" So Joshy you ready to get your ass kicked like you sad excuse of a pack did?" I asked in a baby voice, and I knew exactly knew what I was doing, I wanted at least a chance with this fight all the others were pathetic. All alphas are very territorial of their pack and when someone disrespects them you disrespect their alpha. 

" Shut up you pathetic little bitch" He spat at me.

" Now now, Joshy don't make put you in your place again." With that said you could hear all the audible gasps from everyone surrounding us, which by the way was his whole pack. He just glared at me.

" Ready?!!" I taunted him

" FIGHT!" he roared.
