Chapter 8

Melissa's P.O.V

I woke up to see my brother sitting up in bed watching some tv. 

" Hey sleepy head!" Hunter said

"You know for someone who just got stabbed by a hunter with a silver blade you sure are in a happy mood."  I said while rubbing the sleep outta my eyes.

" Well I have get through it somehow." He just laughed it off.

" Ahh Mr. Astros your awake. I'm just gonna run  couple more tests and if everything comes back good then your free to go." he while walking over to hunter and started probing him with things.

" Alright i will be right back the test don't take that long. Hour at tops!" he said while walking out of the room.

" You know we still have to go to that other pack today right." i said while grabbing hunters hand and squeezing it a little.

"yeah. Do you think they will react to the same way alpha Josh did and then see them get there ass kicked by you again? That was really funny though." hunter said while trying to suppress a smile.

" Who knows maybe." i shrugged.

"Mel?" hunter whispered

" yeah" i asked looking up from his hand to his face.

" Do you think we will ever find our mates?" he asked. I really didn't know if we would or not. Quite frankly i don't even know if i could handle having a mate at the time. Mates make you weak, and i don't have the time to be weak. I don't know if i could go into this war knowing my mate is there and living with the risk that he might die. 

" I don't know hunter. I mean with everything going on right now i dont even know if i could handle a mate. but if you find her i know you will be able to because your strong." I said while smiling up at him

" Mel, your strong too. Your stronger than all of us. With everything you've been through, and your still alive breathing to this day! your strong okay. You'll be able to handle this okay, trust me your gonna have all of us there with you along the way." hunter trying to cheer me up

" I know I know" I said while turning my head towards the door to see the doctor walking in.

" So Mr. Astros your tests have come in great, you are free to go."

" well, you ready?" I asked standing up and moving the chair back where I found it last night.

" Ready as ill ever be." 

"Alright well lets get you changed and head out. We have another pack to explain shit to." I said while helping hunter off the hospital bed.

I led him to the bathroom and gave him a set of clothes they had in the room. he came back out wearing some black sweatpants and a white fitted tee. I took his arm and slung it over my shoulder and wrapped my other arm around his waist. we walked out and started walking upstairs to my room.

" Sit down on the bed i'm gonna take a shower and then we will meet up with the others and head off to the other pack." I said while sitting hunter on the bed. 

" Everyone be ready in an hour. Were gonna go to the other pack to get them on board." i said to everyone through our mindlink. I quickly blocked out my mind from everyone. I undressed and hopped into the shower. About 15 minutes later I hopped out and got dressed into some black skinny jeans, a white fitted tee-shirt, a leather jacket and some black ankle boots. i let my hair dry naturally. I walked out to see hunter still on my bed.

" Come on, lazy bum were leaving." I said while going over and helping hunter off my bed. his arm around my shoulder and mine around his waist. We walked down stairs carefully. When we arrived down there i saw everyone waiting on us.
