Name: Minerva Eres

Age: 18

Sex: Female

District: Nine

Appearance: Minerva, at first glance, is on the border between threatening and friendly. She has long, healthy, neatly-kept hair that goes midway down her back and is the color of the night sky. Blue-gray eyes are sharp and bright with alertness, but they hold a curiosity that is similar to a cat's soft gaze. She is slim and toned, with slightly more muscle in her legs than arms. Minerva stands at 5'5", and her height compliments her body extremely well. She's quite expressive, and it's not a fake display. What you see in front of you is honest and very much real. One thing that stands out from her usual facial expressions, however, is her smirk at those she seems to favor - it's a knowing yet guarded smile. It's a vague show of emotion, compared to anything else, and it can range from sarcasm to sincerity.

Personality: Minerva, like her namesake, is practical and thoughtful. She is thorough with strategy and is careful when traversing along unfamiliar terrain. She's quiet, often thinking through plans, and it's no wonder why she was already a head overseer on the fields at just sixteen years old. Minerva also handles responsibility and diligence well, as if she'd been an adult all her life. She doesn't care if she gets left behind in the dust; she'll catch up, and maybe even speed along her way, just because she knows how to handle crossroads and roadblocks. However, she cannot think of anything on the go. She must think something through, and improvisation is one thing she doesn't know how to do. She also has a sarcastic and sometimes depressing sense of humor, and often keeps it dry while laughing at the irony. This is merely because she just feels like being this way, and due to her jokes she's somehow a good icebreaker.

Background: Minerva's adopted and she definitely stands out from the rest of her family. It is unknown who her parents were and/or where they came from, but she could care less about the past when she has a better family that can support her and friends that will stick with her. She loves her adopted family with a passion, especially her father and grandmother. Her mother, not so much, but family is family. Having been influenced by the Eres attitude, Minerva is beyond considering herself as one of them and merely knows that she is one of theirs; a high achiever and ambitious until the end, Minerva proved this by becoming the lead field manager by her sixteenth birthday, and she's helping the family's funds a great deal despite already living in a good state from the start. Minerva is definitely a prodigy, especially in numbers and calculations, and is one of the few people that actually get to advance up in school rather than stay in one grade. She's a promising leader for District Nine in the works - but she'd rather not have that kind of life just yet. (Keyword: Yet.) Instead, she doesn't focus on the past or the future, but rather the present. During her free time, she enjoys to hang out with her two best friends and is often seen sitting on a roof quietly with them, without a word exchanged between the three of them.

You'd think she has it easy, but she's heard of news that a woman, who directly resembles herself, has been looking around for her daughter. They met one day, and things fell from there - Minerva would rather not say a thing about her birth mother, even if she were held at knifepoint as punishment for doing what she did.

Weapon of Choice: Minerva doesn't like long-range weapons, nor does she like melees. One day, her grandmother came up to her and gifted her a shining pair of silver sickles; immediately, she grew attached and since then they've been her favorite weapons.

Token: Minerva only has scars to remind her of home. That, and a simple, beautiful silver-blue armband that is clipped onto her left arm.

Other: Minerva isn't fond of birds, even though she's named after a goddess that apparently really liked owls.
