We ended up having our first youth outing and I was so happy that I got to spend a whole day with you right there! We were in the van and you were sitting pretty far back, almost the last row. I, of course, was on the front row. I'm not sure if you noticed, but I tried every chance I got, to just look at you. To see your eyes all light and blue, it just made me smile!
We went out to eat and you squeezed into our already full table right across from me. I couldn't help but smile and stare.
We got back in the van, and I found you sitting just one seat closer. You kept looking at me. Every time you would look at me and I would look back, right into your eyes, you would smile and wink at me. That made me melt.
Later we went bowling and I really didn't want to. I told the youth pastor, your brother Josh, that I didn't want to and he was fine with it. He had already bought the tickets when you found out I wasn't bowling and you tried to back out so I wouldn't be alone, so you HAD to bowl. It all worked out though, because after every turn you took, you would come back and talk to me. I was so happy! Then one time that you went to take your turn, Josh tells me that he would try to get us together if you were single. That made me explode on the inside.
We got back in the van and you squeezed in by my cousin, Jaycie, who was sitting right next to me. You were almost falling off the seat! Josh was driving around trying to find things to do, eventually deciding to go to a frozen yogurt place. You sat at the same table with me while we were there. That also made me happy.
Finally while we were headed back to the church, you somehow found your way to the seat right next to me. I was completely okay with that! You wanted so badly to flirt but knew you couldn't because you were in a relationship. I must have made you forget about it for a little while. Your hand somehow slipped onto my leg for a minute and when you "realized" it was there, you panicked and pulled it off saying, "Oh my gosh I'm sorry! I'm just so used to doing that!". "You're used to putting your hand on people's' leg?" I said. Of course you tried to save yourself by saying, "Yea! I'm just not used to being around people like this.". Haha! Worst save ever, but it's okay, it was cute. We pulled up at the church and we all eventually left, ending my great day. I still stayed happy because I knew we had more days together coming up soon!
