Lily plopped down onto her red and blue bed, thinking about what happened at River City High School that day. She mostly thought of something her best friend at school, Sullivan, said.

"Want to listen to my music? Your favorite song, Closer by Chainsmokers, is on," he said.

He somehow knew her favorite song was Closer by Chainsmokers. Yet, Lily had never mentioned anything about her favorite song in front of Sullivan.

All of a sudden, her door opens, and two men with masks come in. Lily gets up off her bed and gets into a fighting stance. The first masked man laughs at her. Then he pulls out a police taser and starts tasing her. The second masked man looks hesitant. The last thing Lily remembers before she passes out is that the second masked man has a concerned look in his eyes.

While all of this is going on, Lily's friend, Sullivan, is singing Tears of a Rapper by The Flight of the Conchords in his kitchen. When Lily passes out, Sullivan feels weak. He tries to keep singing, but he notices that he can't dance or even walk very well.

"What is going on?" He wonders.

His brindle Boston terrier, Flippy AKA Flip, and his red-haired mutt, Bailey, start howling like they're in distress. The dogs are actually safe by his feet.

"Why is this happening? I do not like this feeling. Why can't I move? Why are my dogs howling?" he wonders frantically.

His mom, Daphne, comes through the door.

"Hi, mom! For some reason, I can't move. I am trying my best to move, but I can't."

"Yeah right! Why would you not be able to move?" asks Daphne with doubt in her voice, "Did I hear the dogs howling? If so, why were they howling?"

"I don't have the first clue. I was dancing. Then, I felt oddly weak. Then, I tried to move again but couldn't. Finally, the dogs started howling like they were in distress, but they were at my feet the whole time."

"Nice story, Sullivan."

"It's not a story."

"Sure."

His mom goes to her room and turns on the TV.

"Breaking News! An Amber Alert just went out for a River City teen girl. She was last seen wearing a black coat with red fur on the outside of the hood, a KU hoody, and blue jeans. She is about 5'3" and weighs about 115 pounds, and has shoulder length, dirty blonde hair. She usually wears a ponytail," says the journalist.

"I need to move, maybe they have a picture of this River City teen," he thinks to himself. He finally gains control of his legs and starts moving toward his mom's room.

"Sullivan, you might want to stop acting like you can't move and come look at this," exclaims Daphne.

"Right here mum," says Sullivan.

"Here is a picture of the girl that just went missing," the journalist says.

"Lily!!" Sullivan cries out.

"So you could move. I knew you were acting," says Daphne.

The journalist then announces, "It's worth a mention that the last person to see her before she vanished was her friend, Sullivan Harris. One of our crew members has arrived where she was last seen. Let's see what he has to say. Michael?"

"I have some of Lily's friends here. What are your names? How do you know her?" Michael asks.

"I'm Beverly. Lily is my sister from another mister."

"I'm Elaine. Lily is my best friend."

"And I'm Leonard. My best friend has a crush on her. He is so awkward around her. It is quite funny. I was just going to his house to tell him to turn on the news when you pulled me aside."

"Who is your friend, Leonard?" asks Michael

"Sullivan Harris. I should not have said that. I must be going now."

"Well it looks to me like Lily had a secret admirer named Sullivan Harris! I wonder if it is the same person who last saw her," says Michael.

"Dammit Leonard, you weren't supposed to say that on national television," whispers Sullivan.

"Hold up, you never told me about a girl named Lily. Who is this Lily person? Why do you like her? What does she look like?" asked Daphne.

"I thought I did tell you. As you heard on TV, she is my crush."

"Just crush or super duper pooper scooper crush?"

"Honestly, she is my super duper pooper scooper crush. I like her because she is goofy, smart, beautiful, kind, and can stand her own in a fight. I once saw her knock out ten people in two minutes. I was helping as much as I could. I was telling my friends who to start fighting to help her. Before I could tell all my friends who to fight, there were ten on the ground, and three running away. The news just showed a picture of her."

"The news says you are the last person to see her before she vanished. How can that be true?"

"Sometimes I ride the bus, and sometimes I walk Lily home. Today, I walked Lily home. I didn't see anything suspicious when I was walking by her house.... How could I be so stupid? I saw a white van, and I saw two men with heads down who looked suspicious."

"You're not stupid. You just didn't know what was going to happen."

"Dad would have known what was going on perfectly."

"Yes he would, but that's because Atticus grew up in the inner city. He knows when bad stuff will happen near him because he was always scared for his own life."

"True, but I still should've known."

Sullivan runs out of the room. His dog Flip starts sniffing the air. Sullivan gets an idea.

"Lightbulb!" says Sullivan.

Flip knows what he is thinking, and tries to stop him by barking and whining.

Sullivan starts getting ready to go to the crime scene and go on TV. He is still a bit weak.
