Chapter 6: Back In Texas

Bailie's POV
Ragan and I just pulled up at our gym, Texas Dreams. We are going to see our coaches and our teammates. I wish I didn't have to tell them that I'm injured. Ragan and I check in at the front desk and walk into the gym. "Bailie!" I heard Emma yell. She came back home to Texas early because she wanted to get some training in during our week off. "What happened to your knee?" Coach Chris asked. He missed trials to coach the Level 10 girls at an elite qualifier meet. "I tore my ACL at trials. I'm getting surgery tomorrow and I can't train for 6-7 months." I told him. "How long is it gonna take you to not be scared to do floor again?" He joked. "I don't know." I told him. "What like 6 years?" He asked. "No." I said. "Less than 6, 5 and a half?" He joked again. "No just a few months." I said laughing. "Oh my god Bailie." He laughed while sighing.
Ragan's POV
"Well there's the little midget floor champ!" I heard coach Chris say. "Hey!" I say, walking over to the floor with Chris. "Hey Ragan I think you're ready to do your new tumbling pass without the mat today." He tells me. "Yeah I think so too but can I warm up with the mat first?" I ask. "Yeah do it a couple times and then do it on the floor." He said. I did it a few times with the mat. Coach picked up the mat and took it off the floor. He got everyone's attention, even Coach Kim's. I start running. I go into a back layout but I twist and I stick the landing. Everyone in the gym cheers for me.

Bailie's POV
Ragan and I left the gym after a few hours. "Hey Bailie are you ready for tomorrow?" Ragan asked me. "I'm scared. What if something bad happens babe?" I said. "Baby you'll be fine! You are going to have to do a lot of physical therapy and it's gonna take a few months before you can train again but I promise I will be with you to help you get through this." Ragan said. "What about the Olympics? I'll start physical therapy when you leave." I said. "You can come with me!" She said. "But I have to go to the therapy place everyday." I said. "You can call the doctor everyday for exercises that you can do!" Ragan suggested. "I don't know we can talk to her about it tomorrow after my surgery." I told her. "Yeah well anyways we need to get back to the house." Ragan said.
