Finding out the gender of your baby- G

Grayson's POV

"It's been 5 months already!?", Lisa Dolan (Cameron, Grayson and Ethan's mom btw) said.

"Yep! Ah! I'm so excited!", Grayson said.

Me and y/n have been married for a year. We are so excited for this baby. Y/n is nervous and I can see why. It's our first baby.

 We took Ethan, Cameron, mom and dad with us to ultrasound.

I helped y/n into the car and I got in. I began to drive. Everyone in the back talked, but y/n barely talked.

"Babe", I whispered to her while keeping my eyes on the road. " What's wrong? Are you okay?"

"I'm scared, Gray. They are going to check the baby's heart beat as well. What if something goes wrong? What if.....", she didn't finish her sentence. She sighed.

The car was quiet. Everyone was waiting for my response. 

Your POV

I didn't want to be a party pooper, but I was too scared. What if the baby is not okay? What are we going to do? 

"Hey, listen to me. This baby will be okay. Okay? I promise", he said as he reached over and held my hand. I have it a squeeze as a sign of reassurance.  Grayson was not scared so I shouldn't be either.

" Yeah, it'll be okay", Ethan added.

I took a deep breath.

"Okay." I smiled and noticed that we were at the doctor's office. Grayson parked the car. This was it.

Grayson's POV

I got out of the car and so did everyone else. Y/n was holding my hand and now smiling. Everyone was smiling. 

"Welcome!", said the lady at the front desk. " You are the 11:30 appointment, correct?"

"Yes", Y/n replied happily.

"Okay, great! Just fill out these forms and take a seat. We'll call you in soon", the woman said as she handed us the papers.

"Thanks", I replied.

I took one look at the papers and had no idea what they said. 

"Um, babe? I think these are for you...", I said while handing Y/n the papers. She just giggle and took a seat with the rest of the family.

" Are you ready dude?", Ethan asked.

" Hell yeah", I said. 

Your POV

"Y/N, please go to room #3 please."

I got up and so did the family. I asked the doctor on the phone earlier if guests can be in the ultrasound room and she said yes so this was perfect. We all stepped into the room one by one. I looked at the machine and the screen, then the bed next to it. 

" Mrs. Dolan?", the doctor said.

"Yes. Hi." I said with a big smile. The worries I've been having are now gone and have been replaced with excitement. I took a seat on the bed, handing my bag and sweater to Lisa to hold.

The doctor asked me some questions.

" Okay, we are ready to go.", she said while quickly writing something down on her paper. She opened up the computer that she used to see more detail on the baby. The computer was connected to the big screen so that everyone could see.

She told me to lie down on the bed, so I did. Grayson walked over to the side of the bed and held my hand.

I lifted my shirt up and pulled my pants only a little bit down. When I did that Ethan turned around.

"Ethan, it's okay. I'm not stripping." I laughed.

"Oh, okay", he replied. 

" Yeah you idiot", Cameron replied. I laughed a bit. Cam and I pick on Ethan a lot.

" You ready?", Lisa asked.

" This is very exciting!", Sean (Mr. Dolan) said.

The doctor put the camera to my bump. I looked at my baby on the big screen. I started to cry. Grayson kissed me on the cheek. The doctor took pictures of the ultrasounds.

" I'm going to print those pictures out and then tell you after more studying. But I think I know what it is. Now for the heart beat."

Grayson's POV

I wanted to cry. That baby is amazing. I can't wait to meet him or her. 

Now the heart beat. The doctor put another tool thing to Y/N bump and moved it around. It was silent. We heard no heart beat. The room went quiet. Where's the heart beat? Y/N squeezed my hand.

Then, out of no where, we hear it. The little beats of a heart. I couldn't help myself. I let out a couple of tears. I was so happy. Ethan and Cameron were doing small cheers.

" Okay then. I have all the info I need. I'll be back in a minute", she said and then left the room.

Y/N pulled her shirt down and pants up and sat up.

Talking started. Now we have to do is wait.

Ethan's POV

I am so excited to be an uncle. Uncle Ethan. I'm liking the sound of that...

Anyways, THE BABY. It was s'cute with it's little face sqooshed up against the camera. 

The doctor finally came back.

"So,what do you guys think?"

"IT'S A BOY!" I yelled out.

"NO IT'S A GIRL!" Cam yelled.

Mom and dad say it's a boy. Y/N and Gray think it's a girl.....

" Well, I'm happy to announce that your first child is going to be..... a baby girl!"

The cheers around the room, and the crying. It was beautiful. The doctor also said that the baby's heart is health so that's great! Now just 4 more months until we get to meet the little gal.
