True friends
You know you have a true friend when:
You don’t need to talk to each other every day to know the other cares
You argue, but the next time you meet, your fights are non-existent and forgiven
They are always there for you when you need them, whether they live next door or across the globe, when you need them they listen, even if it’s only through the phone.
You feel like crap, they clean up your puke without needing to be asked, and without complaint.
You don’t need to have everything in common to understand each other
They sit with you in the hospital waiting room, even if they have better things to do
They always tell you the truth, even if it’s not nice and you don’t want to hear it
They don’t talk about you behind your back, but rather say it to your face (and get away with it)
They rat you out with your parents when you’re doing something stupid, because they care about you
Neither of you keeps count on who owes who what or how many
You don’t need to know every little thing about each other.
You can be just you around them
Silences are never awkward
Your friendship has no conditions and no expiration date

General FictionThis is a little side project I'm doing. All letters are fictional, I just get crazy ideas sometimes. I hope you like it.
