I didn't know you were like her
You had so much opportunity
Wasted on what she offers
I thought you were smarter than she
I never learned your name
And our conversations faded
But it still is such a shame
To see that bright young life wasted
When you did say something loud
It always took my frown away
And to see you in that crowd
I turned my head today
To think where you could be
Had you turned her away
