Forgive me for my wrongs
But nothing here is right
The night is bittersweet
With its lies and farewells
But it shields me from thee
And that my enemies dwell
The dark is so appealing
Since I have something to hide
My woes aren't the only thing
That keep secrets from the night
The trouble's burdened soul to keep
Decides to ride the back of mine
I need to take that faithful leap
But I wish the world were that kind
Instead I sing these hollow songs
