You've wallowed in self pity for far too long
And now you've forgotten how to be strong
You say that you're broken beyond repair
Yet you don't bring a ladder to your pit of despair
Instead of fighting to become someone else
Why don't you try to just be yourself?
Then you'd find people who truly care about you
Rather than those who are in love with a ruse
You can't blame them for loving the you that you're not
If that is the only you that they've got
So just take a breath and try to stay calm
It will all be over once you realize what's wrong
