In my dream I was running, I'm not sure what from but I knew I couldn't stop. My feet pounded against the trail, I was in a forest. My heart was hammering away in my chest and my breath was coming out in small white puffs in front of my face. I lost my balance a bit, like someone was shaking me, "Sianna." I heard Dean's voice and the forest faded slowly, the horizon and trees blurring until they were simply dull, dark smudges. "Wake up." I buried my face deeper into the pillow and lazily batted his hands away. "Mmmm nooo" I groaned, he sighed dramatically. "We can do this the easy way or the hard way," he stated and chuckled when I hit him lightly on the arms and chest. "What the hell are you doing?" "Tryin'na find the snooze," I mumbled. "Can't say I didn't warn you," he said smugly. Just before I was going to ask him what he meant I was splashed with ice cold water. I bolted upright with a gasp, freezing water streaming between my shoulder blades and clinging to my hair, "oh my god I cannot believe you just-" Dean's lips were on mine and I could feel his smile. I kissed him back, tangling one hand in his short hair and resting the other on his shoulder. He grabbed my waist with one hand, pulled me closer, and used his free hand to gently cup my cheek. We eventually broke apart, "forgive me?" He mock pouted, I took a deep breath, "maybe..." I pecked his lips again, "yeah I guess. What time is it?" He smiled down at me, "six, the girls, Sam and Cas are still asleep." He stated, "you should get a picture of them." I grabbed my phone and silently walked into the room we were in last night, quietly awing at the scene in front of me.
Sabrina was passed out with her head on Cas' shoulder and his arm lazily resting on her hip. Meanwhile Dani was curled up against Sam's side his arms around her as well, the four of them looking very peaceful. I snapped a couple pictures and rejoined Dean in the room. I waved my phone around, smirking, "they look adorable." I stated. "Dean, after we get ready can we go for a walk?" I pleaded, the bunker was next to woods that I was dying to explore. He shrugged, "if you want to, sure." I grinned up at him then raced off to my room. I threw on a pair of dark wash skinny jeans, a dove gray tank top, a red and black plaid flannel, combats and a gray beanie. After brushing my teeth, braiding my hair, slipping a knife into my boot, and grabbing a small Polaroid camera I found on my dresser, I was ready to go. I practically skipped out of my room, humming Sympathy for The Devil under my breath. I had snatched one of my mini notebooks and had messily scrawled a note to our sleeping friends that we were on a walk and shouldn't be out too long. I left it on the table and Dean laced our fingers together as we headed outside and into the brisk morning air. It was still foggy, a regular, chilly March morning, light gray clouds painting the sky.
As we strolled into the line of trees, our arms swinging carelessly back and forth my hand brushed something in Dean's pocket. I couldn't help the next words that came out of my mouth - "is that a gun in your pocket or are you happy to see me?" I asked with a wink, he rolled his eyes but was laughing. He partially revealed the handgun he had tucked away in his jeans. I took lots of pictures. I took some of the trees, the horizon that had the faint glow of the sunrise, a small pond, and a mama fox with her two kits, I even got a perfect one of Dean smiling and he got one of me laughing. I insisted it was bad but he said he liked the way my eyes crinkled at the corners and how the dimple peeked out on only one side of my smile. On our way back we talked about anything and everything.
I was the first to hear the leaves crunch behind us, I warned Dean to stop and listen. He froze, we heard it again. The soft crunch, like whatever made the noise was trying to be quiet. I instinctively moved closer to Dean, taking a deep breath and fighting away the anxious feeling. A young man stepped out from his place behind the thick trees, he was about 6'2 and pretty well built, with light brown hair and storm grey eyes. His eyes were those of a big, predatory cat whom had just cornered it's next meal. When he barred his teeth and I saw the jagged fangs, I knew that was what he saw us as, his next meal, hate and hunger swirling in his eyes. He approached slowly, informing us that the nest we cleaned out the other day was his, and we were going to pay.
Neither of us had a knife big enough to easily decapitate him, and Dean leaned down to me, whispering at me to run. I shook my head no, subtly untying my long, wrap around bracelet I put on earlier. I quickly glanced down at it, I told Dean to keep him occupied, that I had an idea but he had to keep the vampire's attention off of me. He reluctantly nodded as I slipped him the long, thin, braided material and I saw understanding flash across his features. I shot a fake-scared look at the vamp before running a short distance away and hiding behind a tree, hoping my hasty retreat was believable. I retrieved the knife from my boot, it was a good six inches and it would have to to.
I heard struggling then a husky "NOW" from Dean. I raced back to find him with his back against one of the larger trees and the vamp at a little less than arms length away, struggling against the makeshift noose Dean had wrapped around his neck, ever tightening. When I reached them I slashed right above the bracelet material. It didn't go through cleanly, however, it had gotten the job done after one more slice. I looked down to find my clothes sprayed with blood, Deans were as well but not as badly. I wiped my knife on my shirt sleeve, sighing, before we turned home again, hand in hand. He smiled down at me, "that was a good idea you know." I flipped my hair, "I know, I am full of good ideas." We started laughing. Then I tripped over a root, I stumbled but didn't hit the floor. I pouted as he started laughing harder, I couldn't stop the bursts of laughter from bubbling up, his laugh was contagious and I was comically clumsy.
We walked back inside the bunker, I shed my bloody beanie and flannel and Sabrina and Dani raced over to us, the four of them were all sitting at one of the tables. I raised my hand to stop them before they started worrying too much, "we killed a vamp from a nest we thought we cleared out." I explained, "it's not our blood, we're fine." I gestured them closer, "I got some cute pictures, wanna see?" They nodded and we headed to my room.
I put my camera on my bed and pulled out my phone. I showed them the pictures of when they were asleep, I wiggled my eyebrows at them. "So?" I drew out the 'o', "what happened this morning?" They both blushed and Sabrina stumbled over her words, "um... w-what do you mean?" I smirked at them, "please, you were getting all cozy with the angel," I turned to Daniela, "and you with the moose." Dani smiled, "do you think they like us?" I rolled my eyes at them, "duh... you guys woke up in their arms I highly doubt that means anything bad." I remembered I still hadn't told them, "oh crap, guys, I have something to tell you." I explained how I had gotten here and answered their questions when they asked. By the end Dani's eyes were wide and we were quiet for a moment before Sabrina spoke up, "fucking shit that's crazy!" I laughed, "you're telling me. Wanna get breakfast or did you guys already eat?" They shook their heads and we headed out of my room to discover that Dean was already in the kitchen making us food. I joined to help him and to leave Sam, Dani, Cas and Sabrina to talk. I sat up on the granite island and was probably more of a distraction than anything else but soon we were each balancing three plates and walking to give everyone their food.
Once we had finished, Dean and I drove the girls home. However, they didn't leave without Dani getting Sam's number and Cas telling Sabrina to just call for him when she wanted to "hang out," air quotes included. Both of them were smiling widely as we climbed into the impala. I walked them to their room and told them they were welcome to come hang out whenever they wanted. We hugged goodbye before I jogged back to the car and Dean and I returned home.
