Chapter∆2
"Rashad please tell me you know where this place is at." Aaliyah said, walking behind her brother.
"Of course Liyah. Plus you shouldn't be worried I never get lost." Rashad answered. Aaliyah dropped his hand and stopped in place. Rashad made a few steps before realizing that his baby sister wasn't near him.
"Come on Aaliyah." Rashad said. Aaliyah walked up and a building caught her eyes.
"Rashad, is this it?" Aaliyah asked looking up in awe. She was amazed at the building's structure and elegance.
"I think it is." Rashad looked over to his little sister's face. He knew his sister, He knew she was excited. He hugged her and wished her luck. Aaliyah ran up the steps and waited. When she noticed a group of girls she walked over as she stood with them she noticed that she was the shortest of them all.
A short lady with salt and pepper hair, walked back and forth. When her eyes fell onto the sight of Aaliyah she snorted causing the girls to all look over at her.
"Have you ever seen such disrespect?" the lady asked. Aaliyah looked up confused and embarrassed.
"Excuse me? I don't understand how I'm disrespecting you." Aaliyah said. Quite confused, at the woman.
"Hmph! You have never been to any of my classes. You decided to come today. Not even in a leotard. Shame in you. Get out!" she spat in Aaliyah's face. She stood there with tear filling her eyes, she's never been yelled at in her life. Aaliyah grabbed her bag off the ground and walked away. Aaliyah was walking with she heard some hip-hop music. It attracted her, so she walked in. It was girls dressed almost the same as her. Aaliyah pulled her hair into messy ponytail and started to dance with them.
"Woah! Woah! Woah!" A man's voice boomed throughout the studio. Aaliyah stopped moving and put all her attention into him. He was cute, with an edge. He had tattoos all over him.
"What's your name, Princess?" He asked with a slight smile.
"Princess Aaliyah." Aaliyah smiled with him.
"So you're royalty?" he asked.
"You gave me the title. I gave you my name what's yours." Aaliyah shrugged.
"You don't know my name?" He asked very shocked. The group of girls gasped in shock. Aaliyah looked around she had forgotten all about the group of dancers.
"My name is Christopher, you can call me Chris." he said. Aaliyah nodded.
"Look, I like the way you move. You move very, smoothly and it looks so simple when you dance but it's a very complex choreography. I like that. Would you do me the honors of watching a group of dancers with me?" Chris asked, hoping Aaliyah would say yes. Aaliyah nodded. It was something in Aaliyah that made her feel like she had to do this. Aaliyah walked out after Chris back to the part of the building, where she actually cried. Chris disappeared and the salt and pepper haired lady reappeared.
"Where? Where is he?- What are you still doing here?" the lady spat in Aaliyah's face. Aaliyah just stared at her. When Chris' friend came and took ahold of Aaliyah's hand.
"You were supposed to follow us young lady." he said with a chuckle.
"Yes! Take her kind away." the lady said walking back into the room.
