"Hai Bhagwan, Chotte slow down!"

Anjali exclaimed whilst holding her head, in despair at her brother and in pity for the workers, simultaneously.

"At least give them time to breathe and for god sake, take a second to breathe yourself." She said as she strode to him after signalling the workers to leave.

Arnav scowled.

"Lecture them Di, not me. Look, the decorations are still not done and-"

Anjali chuckled, cutting his statement. "Chotte, first of all, there is still a lot of time left for the ceremony to start and second of all, it's your engagement tonight! Why are you here worrying about the decorations instead of worrying over your outfit?"

Arnav sulked and glanced around at the half-done decorations. "I just want to make sure everything is perfect."

Anjali's laughter died and reduced into a faint smile as she cupped Arnav's face.

"I know how important this day is for you and Khushiji, Chotte. Not only because this is what you have been waiting for since so long, but also because of what you had to do to reach here. And, I promise, I will leave no stone unturned to make it memorable."

And indeed, the promise she made was lived up to in every ways.

Arnav sighed, looking around at the red-themed decorations, adding to the glow the waves of happiness had already brought into Shantivan. Red and white balloons covered the floor, red roses were aligned all around them, filling the gleeful atmosphere with their fragrance, crystals, chandelier and everything else was on point and simply beautiful, just as he requested and wanted.

But still, absolutely nothing could match the beauty that was climbing down the stairs with her breathtaking smile. Cladded in his favorite color red, she looked no less than a goddess who was descending the earth only for him.

His heart swelled with pride, knowing that she was indeed his, only and forever his.

He grinned, as her face flushed beetroot red when he kissed her hand after sliding the ring in her finger, then smirked, when she held his hand tightly before repeating the same action.

The party then went in full swing after the ceremony, especially when everyone went crazy on the dance floor. Music literally blasted in the hall, as they all jumped, grinned and swayed like little kids, living this moment to the fullest.

__________

Arnav sighed exasperatedly and with another look at his watch, his irritation peaked.

It's been fifteen minutes already since he has been standing here, by the poolside, waiting for his fiance to grant him a visit.

But alas!

She is probably still trying to stop the fierce dance battle that Buaji and Mami had started.

After all, they were more important for her, right?

He grimaced at the thought and was about to turn around and leave dejectedly when a pair of arms wrapped around his waist, interlocking at his stomach.
