"kellin! whats up?" a random kid called from the hallway. kellin smiled at the voice.

"nothin much, you?" he asked, already walking away without hearing the response.

all through the crowded hallways, kellin received greetings and praises, just for being him.

don't get him wrong, he loves the attention. kellin quinn lives for attention. but sometimes, its a bit too much, even for him.

his head swirled with all eyes on him, but he kept his head held high and continued down the hallway to his locker, where he stuck his head inside and sighed deeply.

"watch it, fucker!" someone yelled loudly, and suddenly kellin whipped his head around.

some kid was laying on the floor, his books and papers scattered on the floor. he was looking up at someone in shock and fear.

he was looking at victor fuentes.

"really, fuentes? he's a freshman, dude, leave him alone." kellin said fiercely, helping the young boy up with a half-hearted smile.

"he was in my way, bostwick." vic said with a smirk, amused by the way kellin's face scrunched up in annoyance.

see, kellin quinn's real name is kellin quinn bostwick. bostwick is his fathers last name. but, since his dad is a deadbeat, he just uses his middle name. kellin hates being called bostwick, and everyone in the school knew it. so did vic, but he's an asshole.

"it's quinn. and he probably didn't know where he was going. just - just don't push people around, alright?" kellin asked, turning back around, away from all eyes being on him.

then, kellin felt a minty, cold breath behind him. he turned back around, biting his lip.

"don't tell me what to do, kellin." vic whispered with a smirk, looking at kellin's lips.

kellin just scrunched up his face in disgust.

"if i weren't such a nice guy, i would've gone to the principal." kellin said with his eyebrow raised, turning back around and taking some books out of his locker.

"you can't tell the principal what i'm about to do next." the brunette boy said, and suddenly the minty breath was gone.

"what?" kellin asked, turning around. what he saw was vic walking away, bumping into another kid. the brunette turned around, winked at kellin, and walked away.

"since when do you talk to fuentes?" justin asked, looking at kellin weirdly.

"i don't. he pushed a kid and i told him to stop. i have to go. bye." kellin said, his mind wandering to the words vic had said.

you can't tell the principal what i'm about to do next.

what the hell does that mean?

throughout the day, all kellin could think about was vic's words.

"kellin? are you okay?" mr. gaskarth asked kellin, concern written all over his face.

kellin was shaken out of his thoughts.

"yeah! yeah. i'm fin- you know what? can i go to the nurse?" kellin asked, quickly changing his mind so he could go see vic.

"of course! do you need an escort?" the teacher asked with a smile.

"no, i'm okay. just a bit of a headache." kellin said quietly, shaking everyone's eyes off of him and grabbing his bag.
