Authors Note: This chapter, the final chapter L will be in third person because I have no clue in writing a wedding scene in first person so here it goes. Enjoy.
The morning of the wedding Keira was woken up by her 6:00am alarm. Sitting up in the bed she stretched and then rubbed her eyes before Sophie and Ashley walked in.
“Right let’s get you ready, come on up. Get in the shower. Chop chop” Sophie said clapping her hands as she said ‘chop chop’.
Keira got out of bed and headed into the bathroom taking a quick shower. After leaving the shower she dried off with a towel and then got into the dress. The time was now 7am and the wedding wasn’t until 11am. 4 hours to get ready, take pictures and travel to the church.
First was the hair, Some of Keira’s hair was placed into a cute bun and strands of her hair were left loose but will be curled. A Silver tiara would be placed in front of the bun.
After the hair was perfected and the curls were complete the make-up began. Ashley dabbed a bit of foundation onto Keira’s face. As she closed her eyes Ashley even spread the foundation giving Keira an even skin tone.
While the girls were getting ready the boys were already awake and ready. They had nothing to worry about; Noah was at Keira’s parents and he had all the support of his friends. They decided to head over to the venue to check everything was in place before heading to the church. While Ryan and Jerome placed a pamphlet on the seat with the wedding vows on Mitch was speaking to the vicar.
About 9:30am some guests started arriving and Mitch greeted them all. First was Keira’s parents and Noah who he picked up and gave him a cuddle and kiss before handing him back. Then it was his parents who flew down from Canada just for the wedding.
After all guests had arrived the time was 10:55am. The door at the back of the church opened Jerome walked back in giving the thumbs up signalling she had arrived as he went back to his seat. All the guests stood up and this was it, time to see his amazing fiancée.
Mitch was standing side on with his head looking over at the door, the music started playing and the door opened. Keira paced herself down the aisle not taking her eyes of Mitch.
Tears formed in both their eyes and as she got close enough they held both each other’s hands as they were shaking with happiness. Mitch placed a short sweet kiss on her forehead and whispered.
“You look stunning.” Keira smiled as she carefully rubbed the tear in her eye trying not to smudge her make-up.
As they both turned to face the vicar he began to introduce the ceremony.
“Dear friends and family, we are gathered here today to witness and celebrate the union of Mitchell Hughes and Keira Reed in marriage. Through their time together, they have come to realize that their personal dreams, hopes, and goals are more attainable and more meaningful through the combined effort and mutual support provided in love, commitment, and family; and so they have decided to live together as husband and wife, you may take your seats.”
Mitch mouths to Keira ‘I love you’ and she smiles and mouths back ‘I love you too’
As the guests take their seat he waits for the noise to settle down then continues.
"True marriage is more than joining the bonds of marriage of two persons; it is the union of two hearts. It lives on the love you give each other and never grows old, but thrives on the joy of each new day. Marriage is love. May you always be able to talk things over, to confide in each other, to laugh with each other, to enjoy life together, and to share moments of quiet and peace, when the day is done. May you be blessed with a lifetime of happiness and a home of warmth and understanding." They both smile.
Jason hands Mitch one ring and Keira the other. The vicar then continues, “Do you Mitchell Hughes, take Keira Reed to be you lawfully wedded wife?”
Mitch stares into Keira’s eyes and smiles and as he slides the ring onto her finger he says “I Do”
The vicar then turns towards Keira, “And do you Keira Reed, Take Mitchell Hughes to be your lawfully wedded husband”
“I do” She says smiling as she then slides the ring onto his finger. They then both grab hands and the vicar smiles, “Then I am happy to pronounce you both Husband and Wife! You may kiss the bride” Everyone claps as Mitch and Keira both lean into kiss.
They then head off to sign the marriage papers. After that the guests all head off to the party venue. Mitch wraps his arms around Keira’s waist as she wraps hers around his neck and they give a quick peck on their lips. Together, now as husband and wife they go off to celebrate their marriage.
The first hour of the party was of Mitch and Keira going around receiving congratulations off people. Since Keira hadn’t seen Noah in couple of days she went over to her parents and picked him up. She kissed his cheek, “I missed you baby” She cooed as he giggles. After spending time with her family and Mitch’s family, she handed Noah back to her parents and it was time for some speeches. Jerome began with the first speech.
“So now it’s the part I was regretting, giving the speech. If you don’t know me I’m Jerome, Mitch’s best buddy. Now where do I start? I met Mitch back in 4th grade. How we became friends, it’s a long story. As our friendship continued to grow and so did we Mitch always used to come to me when he was feeling down. He always used to say how all his relationships didn’t feel right, either because they wanted him because of his popularity on YouTube or it just in general didn’t work. But when he met Keira he instantly felt different, it felt right. He felt happier. So Keira, keep him close and Mitch, congrats buddy. So let’s raise our glasses and say a huge congratulations to Mitch and Keira Hughes”
Everyone raised their glasses and in sync said ‘To Mitch and Keira”
After a few more speeches by friends, family and some others it was time for the first dance and husband and wife dance. As Keira and Mitch took the dance floor they held each other close and the song began to play.
Jai Waetford – Your Eyes.
It started out with a picture, now its war with the mirror,
I can’t win your fight.
Keira stared at Mitch and smiled. "This is my song". He planted a kiss softly on her forehead and held her closer and whispered, "then let’s make it our song."
They continued to dance throughout the song and by the end they were surrounded by other slow dancing couples one being Jerome and Sophie. It was also a shock to see Ashley slow dancing with Rob with her head on his chest. Wow, they make such a cute couple, that’s if they are a couple.
As the night came to an end Keira and Mitch stayed as close as possible, this day was the beginning to the rest of their lives together as husband and wife along with their son, as a happy little family.
