Three years later

I slept until a knock sounded at my door. "Your majesty, you have to get ready now." It was the maid who had told me about my parents.

I slowly sat up, brushing my long platinum blonde hair with my fingers. "What's today?" I asked. "It's you're coronation miss. To be crowned Queen."

My fingers froze midway down my hair. "Oh, okay. Yeah, I'll get ready." The maid walked off and I quickly jumped out of bed and ran to my window. I removed the curtains and sunlight shined in, burning my eyes.

I blinked and looked out into the village. People swarmed around, jumping up and down that a new Queen was finally going to be crowned. People have been waiting for me to come of age. I was 21.

I kept the curtains open and walked over to a flowery chair, with my dress lying perfectly on it. I looked at it. It was a teal dress with a heart bodice with bronze lacing, black sleeves and with it came a long magenta cape.

I pulled on the dress, leaving the cape for later. I grabbed a real brush and brushed my hair. My hair was a few inches above my elbows.

My mother said I should never cut it, and I never did. I didn't want to.

I made my hair into a French braid and put it into a twist bun. My mother taught me how to do it, since she always wore it like that.

My father had told me once that I looked a lot like my mother, except with a different hair colour. My mother and I always laughed at that comment. Cause it was true.

Once my hair was done, I grabbed the cape and buttoned it around my neck. Then, I walked back to the chair and noticed light teal gloves that matched my outfit.

I looked down at my hands, looking at the white gloves I always wore. I took a deep breath and began pulling them off. When they were both off, I quickly placed them on the chair and grabbed the long teal gloves.

I quickly pulled them on, the fear sliding away.

For now.

I went back to my mirror and looked at myself. I was pretty tall and slender, other than Anna, who I think pretty much looks like my dad. Besides, she never liked to wear dresses like these. Always went for the more comfortable and unnoticeable.

I had bright blue eyes and pale skin. I sighed and went to the window. People were headed to the gates, waiting for them to open.

Remember Elsa, I told myself. It's just for one day, then they'll be closed again. I closed my eyes for half a second and took a deep breath. I opened my eyes.

"Don't let them in. Don't let them see."

I walked away from the window and went to a table at the end of the room. I big portrait of my father hung there, looking down at me. I started pulling off the gloves and set them down on the table.

"Be the good girl you always have to be."

I looked down at the table and noticed a wooden candle stick and a round looking weird blue thing next to it. I always practiced with it but I still had no idea what it was called. I reached and grabbed both.

"Conceal, don't feel. Put on a show."

I turned around like I was already being crowned queen. But I looked down to see both items starting to freeze.

"Make one wrong move and everyone will know."

I quickly turned back around and placed them were I picked them up. I looked at my hands.

"But its only for today."

I started pulling the gloves back on.

"Its agony to wait."

I walked over to my door and opened it wide up, revealing the staff in two lines. One to the right, the other to the left. I took a deep breath.

"Tell the guards to open up... the gates!"

And the two at the end headed out of the hall to the gates. I folded my hands in front of me and started walking down the hall, head up high.

"Don't let them in, don't let them see."

I stopped at a glass door and opened it, spilling sunlight into the dark hall.

"Be the good girl you always have to be."

I stepped on to the balcony and looked down at the people spilling into the palace walls, walking into the palace itself.

"Conceal."

Some looked up at me and waved. I closed my eyes for another half of a second.

"Conceal don't feel, don't let them know!"

And with that, I walked off the balcony, closed the doors and went with a maid who lead me down to wear I would be crowned queen.
