I fell asleep again but was awoken by the sound of voices headed toward my door.
I quickly got to my feet and started pulling on the chains.
No one could come in here. I couldn't risk hurting them. So I tried escaping.
The voices were getting closer and I looked above me to see the ceiling and walls start to become covered in ice.
I looked down at my cuffs and saw more ice cover them.
I tried pulling on them again and heard someone say, "she's dangerous, move quickly."
But whoever was trying to get in couldn't because the door was frozen solid. Locking them out.
I looked up to see the ceiling cave in and it broke and smashed to the ground, breaking my chains.
I quickly ripped off the cuffs covering my hands and I climbed out of the cell just in time when the guards burst through the cell doors.
A blizzard was going on outside and as I made my way away from the guards and cell, the wind hit me hard and I almost went flying into the sky.
I ran as fast as I could through the storm but couldn't see anything.
The way back to the mountains were covered and blocked by the brewing storm.
I knew it was me creating it but I couldn't stop it. I didn't know how to.
I kept running, my hair flying in my face and my cape flapping in the wind.
I stumbled as I walked through the storm, looking in every direction but seeing no sign of the palace or mountains.
"Make it stop Elsa. Come on! Come on!" I yelled at myself.
I knew I could stop the storm. Since I was the one creating it and there was always a solution to every problem.
I kept walking and looked behind me to see someone emerge from the storm.
I gasped and turned to run when the person called my name. I knew exactly who it was. Could tell by the way he said my name.
"Elsa!" Hans yelled through the storm. "You can't run from this!"
I turned my body fully to him and started backing up. "Just take care of my sister."
Hans shook his head. "Your sister? She returned to the palace weak and cold. She said you froze her heart."
I gasped and looked down at my hands. "No," I whispered. But Hans wasn't done speaking.
"I tried to save her but it was too late. Her skin was ice, her hair turned white."
I looked up at him and he had an angry look adressed to me. What he said next, I couldn't believe.
"You're sister is dead. Because of you."
My whole world right then and there, shattered. It broke into a million pieces.
"No." I turned away from Hans, looked at my hands and fell to the ground in agony.
The stormed stopped all around me, but I didn't care right then.
Anna was dead and it was my fault. My worst nightmare had come true.
After so many years of hiding away and living in secret to protect the ones I loved like Anna, all that was gone.
I said eariler that I was already paying the price for realizing my powers and coming open to them.
No that wasn't my punishment.
My punishment was losing Anna.
And now I was paying that punishment.
