Over the next couple of years Derek and Stiles' dad got close. Stiles would come home from training I find his dad and Derek watching baseball on TV. They would share the occasional glass of alcohol. His dad became fond of Derek and he had no doubt that he would take care of Stiles. Stiles decided to go to college and become a cop like his dad. With the knowledge of his Spark and the supernatural he will be able to help the people of Beacon Hills. He thinks this will help him find a purpose for his life. Derek helps him throughout this process. He helps them train and gain muscle. There is no doubt but Derek loves Stiles with all his heart. They have become closer over the years and have gotten an unbreakable bond.
Derek asks John for Stiles hand in marriage. Of course he says yes and then he plans to ask the pack. He knows the pack will agree but he still wants to ask. Derek has been waiting to marry Stiles for five years after he graduated high school. Derek plans on making this the best proposal ever.
He asks the pack one by one and he gets a variety of reactions. Kira squeaks,, Scott gives him his blessing. Liam is happy. Everyone is ready for it. He's just got to wait for the perfect time.
