Author's POV:
After a few hunts Sam had realized he wouldn't make it to his interview: not that he didn't want to, but his brother comes first. No more college: no law. 3 and a half years down the drain.
Alex's phone starts to vibrate on the nightstand. More than tired she grabs the phone to see it was her dad. Quickly she gets out of the bed and grabs Dean's leather jacket, stepping out of the motel room. Once she closes the door she answers.
"Hey, dad." She yawns after the short greeting.
"You haven't called in a few days. What have you been doing?" He asks rather calmly considering he's been worried.
"Uh, well.." She tries to think up an excuse but gives up. "Some things came up. I'm alright, don't worry. Dean and I are probably gonna finish this hunt and go visit you sometime or something." She breathes into her hand to see how bad the morning breath is, she cringes.
"You and Dean spend a lot of time together." Her heart quickens. Surely she had told him that they've been together for the past 4 years. How does that go unmentioned!
"Oh, yeah, I know. Just friends though. Like old times. Sam and his girlfriend are hunting with us too. Long story." She let's out a stressed out breath. "Dad I have to go. We'll visit you sometime this week for sure." She hangs up before she gets an answer. Walking back into the motel she walks over to her bed and crawls over on top of Dean, straddling him. She placed her hands on his shoulder and shook him awake, well more like bounced. He opens his tired green eyes and squints for a moment.
"Yeah?" His voice is groggy as he fights to stay awake "I'm up." He props himself on his elbows
"I apparently haven't told my dad about us." She smiles apologetically as he leans back, running his hands over his face, then cocking a brow at her.
"Come on!" His voice got a little more high pitched. "I feel like your dad already hates me for hanging out with you, but 4 years of being in a relationship and not telling him.. really?" He groans again. He places his hands onto her hips and flips her so he's now on top.
"You're so lucky that I'm willing to deal with tough dad's." She smiles a little, eyes adoring of the man above her.
"I know I am. I'm lucky to have you." He looks into her eyes and leans down to kiss her but when their lips are only inches apart Sam and Nicole walk in.
"So get this.." Sam starts but then realizes they have come in at the wrong time. Dean gets off and walks over to the fridge turning back to his brother.
"Knocking, Samuel, try it sometime." Dean states annoyed. Sam rolls his eyes.
"It's a haunted possession case." Dean nods.
"That's great. Simple, easy, quick. Take your girl to do it. Alex and I have to go visit Bobby." Sam gives his brother a 'are you fucking kidding' look and Dean shrugs. "You're a big boy. I taught Alex, you'll be fine." Sam groans.
"That was different! You taught Alex because she forced you to. Literally! She just hid in your car and popped out when you arrived at the hunt." Alex smiles at Nicole who looks at her confused.
"Sammy, really not in the mood to hear you complain. I'll be back tomorrow or something. We'll be back." Nicole decides to chime in.
"I mean you did say you'd teach me. You haven't yet." Sam sighs at this.
"I just don't want you to-" Nicole cuts him off by putting a hand up.
"If you don't teach me then I'll have Dean do it." Dean raises a brow and shrugs, just wanting breakfast.
"Let's go get breakfast" Alex jumps off the bed, literally jumps.
"Hell yeah!" Still in Dean's coat she grabs the keys. "Can I drive baby?" Sam smiles at this, no way would Dean let her dr-
"Yeah, whatever." Sam's face drops into a bitch glare. Alex quickly runs out the door and Dean grabs his duffel bag. "I'll be back soon. Be safe." Dean winks causing Nicole to think that he wasn't talking about the hunt. Her face flushes with realization as Dean notices and laughs.
Nicole's POV:
Sam stands in front of me in some private room if the local gym. He puts his hands up into fists, one up higher towards his face the other a little lower.
"Basic standing position." He takes a punch to the punching bag. "Don't tuck your thumb into your hand while you hit or you'll break it. Don't bed your wrist or you'll break it. Put your weight into the punch." He puts his hand up and looks at me, I stare back.
"Sam I already know this stuff." My voice sounds a little whinny. "I took kickboxing for three years and martial arts for 5!" I put my hair up into a ponytail and quickly swipe his feet out from under him in one swift move. Looking down at him he watches a little shocked. "I know how to fight." He stands up and brushes the dirt off his ass.
"Well then I need to be teaching you how to do research, hacking into systems, and how to kill the creature." He says a little relieved
"I know how to hack. Research would probably be helpful though." I smile and he opens the door for me. He still looks shocked that I managed to make him fall.
"Breakfast?" He asks with a smile.
"Hell yeah!" My voice mocks Alex's as he chuckles.
"Knocking, Samuel, you should really try it." He says in a dopey deep voice. We laugh some more and he laces his fingers through mine. We walk down the sidewalk until we come to a small diner. Once inside the waitress seats us and a waiter come to take our orders.
"Nicole?" The man asks as I look up from my menu. My heart drops along with the menu.
"Elijah?" Out of the corner of my eye I see Sam look at me. This is not good.
