Damon walked towards the front desk, his sky blue eyes taking in the art deco interior design of the hotel. His hand slammed down on the metal bell that sat on top of the counter, a small man with greying hair rushing out soon after.

"How can I help you?" He pushed his large glasses further up his nose.

"I'd like a room."

"How long will you be staying?"

"Just tonight," Damon's fingers drummed against the desk.

The man let out a light chuckle which seemed to imply that he knew that something Damon did not. However, Damon chose to ignore the quiet laughter as the man tugged down on a fraying length of rope.

A loud bell rang throughout the foyer, and Damon wondered if it could be heard throughout the whole hotel. Surely not, as that would disturb the guests.

A set of keys were removed from a wall filled with hooks, and the small man placed them on the counter. Damon grabbed them and turned around, his electric blue eyes instantly landing on the figure who stood in the doorway.

A woman's small frame leant against the wooden framing lazily, shadows covering what Damon was certain was a beyond gorgeous face. A long, thin leg crossed in front of the other as an even thinner arm reached up and brushed hair out of the way.

She stepped forward, the soft foyer lights illuminating her face. Damon had been right – she was absolutely gorgeous. Soft curls framed her face, plump pink lips parted slightly as her icy blue eyes locked with his for the briefest moment.

Damon took a moment to take in the way her shorts hung lowly on her hips, her tank top raised a little to show part of her stomach.

"Penelope," the man behind the desk called out. "Show this man to his room."

He hadn't spoken a word to her, and yet, Damon knew that she was many things; a sin, a bad decision, heaven, or perhaps she was hell.

All he knew for certain was that she was something very bad that looked so very good.
