"Just.. JUST DIE ALREADY!" I saw tears in their eyes.

I felt a sharp object drive into my chest, breaking through my ribcage and straight into my soul. Not my heart. My SOUL.

"...that you're so STUPID!" They giggled.

The last thing I heard before blacking out. Or dying. Whichever came first.

I wake up in a pure white room. For some reason I'm... tired. Like I'm drained.

I look down. I'm wearing my normal clothes again, the f/c sweater and jeans. But the scarf and pendant are still there. My backpack is gone.

"Y/n, where am I?"

"You're.. somewhere."

"You don't know?"

"Sadly."

I stood up and looked around. Just white. Nothing else.

"Why am I here?"

I started walking forward, putting my hands in the hoodie pockets or whatever you call them.

Why didn't I start back at the Flame Entrance?

Does my save point not work anymore?

Why do I feel so tired all of a sudden?

"So many questions.. Yet they are only replied to with a simple answer."

I turned around.

"Hello, Y/n. I am W.D Gaster." A person in a black cloak and white turtleneck appeared. There were cracks coming from the top of his right eye until the back of his skull, and the bottom of his left eye until his mouth.

"Hello... umm.. what is this place? And why was I sent here instead of where I last saved?"

"For your first question, This is the void. For your second one, hmm, well you remember having or absorbing other powers.. right?"

I nodded.

"Y/n, you're not human. You're what monsters call a hybrid because you are a mixture of a human and a monster, but your kind calls hybrids another name of which I do not know. Since you are a hybrid, you are also made of magic. Hence your powers."

"Oh.. okay."

"But your powers develop over time, so as of now you can only absorb them. Now, for your questions a while ago, teleportation takes a big chunk out of your magic energy—the stuff that you absorbed in order to turn attacks into other magic. Your save point did not work because you did not have enough magic energy. And you feel tired because you are made of magic energy.

"So I need to be more careful in using my powers?"

"In time, your powers will develop and you will be able to adopt the powers of the magic energy absorbed."

"Ok. But.. what about Sans and the others?"

"Well, time is frozen until you are back in the timeline. It's like a videogame. In order to progress, someone needs to play. Without that someone, the game will not continue."

"Are you alright?"

"Yes, it's just a little hard to take in all of that information."

...

"How do I get back to the timeline?"

"You'll need more magic energy, but the only source of magic energy you can get in this place is.. a soul." He sighed.

Wait, so I have to..

"There is no other way... is there?"

He shook his head.

"... It's alright. You need to save your friends." He summoned his soul and a small knife.

"I.. Ok... It was.. nice meeting you, Mr. Gaster.." I took the knife and closing my eyes, did what he said.

My vision got blurry and I felt like I was falling.
