"What do you mean?" Hunter asked, a bit surprised.
"V-Vance he..." Nicole then remembered what he said. "Now if you tell any of this to Julia and Hunter, there will be hell to pay, not just for you but for them as well. Is that clear... Goddess?" "Never mind my head is just dizzy..."
"Thought as much." Hunter says, unsurely, he then left the room.
'I can't let them get hurt...' She thought. 'I will protect them...'
She looked up at the ceiling, remembering something she said as a child.
"I wonder if one day I'll meet someone who believes in me... That's a person I will believe in and trust." Hunter then came into mind. Nicole immediately shook her head, wanting to get rid of the thought.
"Why am I thinking about that?!" She whisper yelled.
"About what?" Julia asked, she was on her knees next to the bed.
"Gah! Oh nothing!" Nicole said quickly. "When did you get in here?"
"I was in here after Hunter left." Julia says.
"I see..." Nicole mumbled.
"So what are you thinking about?" Julia asked.
"It's nothing important..." Nicole says.
"Is it about Vance or Hunter and how you like one of them?" Julia says.
She blushed. "I-It's not!"
"Then why are you blushing?" Julia smirked.
"Julia! Knock it off!" Nicole yelled. Julia nodded and looked down. As Nicole raised her voice, she immediately regretted it.
"I was just teasing..." Julia mumbled.
"I know... I'm sorry... I didn't mean to raise my voice. I'm just stressed." Nicole says.
"It's ok... I understand-" Julia got cut off by Nicole, sitting up and hugging her.
"You're very brave you know... Most 11 year old girls wouldn't go out in the middle of the night to help annoying girls they meet at their house." Nicole says in almost a whisper. Julia was a bit surprised, but nodded.
"Yeah... I know." Julia whispered.
"I won't let anything happen to you or Hunter..." Nicole says and pulls away from the hug.
"I know. Thank you." Julia smiled.
"Anyway get to bed." Nicole says. Julia nodded and walked out of the room.
Julia saw Hunter about to walk into his room she then said to him. "Hunter... Protect her..."
Hunter looked a bit confused but then smiled and nodded. "I already planned on it."
