-------------------------------------- So, in this chapter, Yuu is interacting with a demon from the axe he grabbed in the army's basement.
It's noticeable how surprised he is to see everyone in his family, especially Mika and Akane. Akane and Mika talk to Yuu, telling him that they're dead, reminding him how he ran away and left them all behind.

Mika does most of the talking though, which leads to the demon's downfall quicker than expected.

Notice how Yuu's eyes change. At this very moment, Yuu is sure that this isn't Mika.
Like woah, he knows Mika so well that he is so confident that this is only an imitation just from a single sentence related to revenge.
Heck, even Shinoa was surprised by how he only used willpower for this.

So, it wasn't Akane, or any of the younger children that pulled Yuu through the illusion; it was Mika.
Also, back in chapter 2, we can now really see that Yuu was truly thinking about Mika when talking about Yoichi's sister not wanting revenge.

-------------- I remember seeing the same sort of doppelgänger scene in other manga and anime, three of which I list here (this placement is just in case for minor spoilers from different series) and compare to Seraph of the End.
Below are my examples of manga/anime with imitation situations (minor spoilers from the following series: Magic Knight Rayearth, Beauty Pop, and Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood): -----------------
-Magic Knight Rayearth: three shoujo heroines don't realize it's only imitations of their family attacking said main characters until a long while (imagine thirty minutes or an hour) after receiving guidance
Interesting, how Yuu realized even faster without guidance. Yuu and Mika are family, but they weren't together for as long as the three heroines with their biological, loving families. Yet, somehow, Yuu and Mika could read each other's minds in the short span of four years. They're not "just family."
-Beauty Pop: shoujo manga protagonist is a hairstylist and recognizes the doppelgänger of her love interest instantly by a flaw in his hair
Mika's doppelgänger looked exactly like Yuu's memory of Mika, but the appearance did not deceive Yuu at all.
-Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood: female lieutenant, Riza Hawkeye, figures out quickly somehow that she is talking to an imitation of her colonel, Roy Mustang. Royai is a very popular ship, and I believe it's implied to be canon.
