In chapter two, Yuu tries to reach out for Mika, who walks away alongside all the other children.
Yuu then wakes up in tears, coming to the realization that Mika is already gone from this world.
His whole family is already gone.
This is the same hand that Yuu thinks has the sole purpose of holding a sword for revenge.
—
But after realizing that Mika is alive in chapter 15, Yuu completely lets go of the desire for revenge.
Yuu decides:
This hand will be used to protect his new family members.
And definitely, this hand will be used to save Mika.
—
In chapter 55, Mika stands right next to Yuu.
Unlike Yuu's nightmare from chapter two, Mika will not leave Yuu's side.
Mika holds the same hand that Yuu, so long ago, tried to reach out for Mika with in his dream.
The kids are right in front of them. Yuu is holding Akane.
This is so different from Yuu's dream back then, along with the other dreams thrown in by Asuramaru.
Yuu left his family behind in Sanguinem.
But, life is funny in its own way.
In the end, they are all finally together again.
