A young teenage girl, who we all know as Kali Harpercop, had believed to have lost her family recently in a car crash. And now, she'd been living on the streets up to a year now with her only friend Jesse.

They have always looked out for each other.

Kali had always loved orcas, but she had never seen one in real life.

However, Kali didn't like the fact of orcas being captured, ripped apart from their families, and put into captivity. The adventure girl would have nightmares about it sometimes. Knowing that she lived by the ocean, Kali would sometimes see actual orca pods swimming together freely, but she'd also hear the cries of orcas being captured.

One early morning, while Kali was still asleep, she had a vision.

A young male orca was captured by some greedy whalers and torn away from his pod. Kali woke up to the sound of crying whale calls, knowing that it wasn't a dream.

Later, it started out like any other day as Kali, Jesse, and their street friends were looking for food.

"I'm starving" said Jesse.

"I know, Jes. I am too" Kali sighed. "But don't worry, I got a plan"

The slick tomboy had gathered up all the street kids together for a plan to get some money in order to buy food.

"Let's try the center town circle, there's thousands of people there" Kali suggested to the others.

"Great idea" Perry said.

"I know" The tomboy smirked, making sure her favorite yellow bandanna was secured tightly around her head.

After a while of trying, the gang met up together and poured the money they collected into a pile.

"A few bucks" one of the kids sighed in disappointment.

"Shoot!" Perry complained. "I'm hungry!"

"I need some food!" Jesse added.

"Don't we all" Kali rolled her eyes, clutching her empty stomach before an idea popped into her mind. "Wait a minute!... I got an idea. Follow me, boys!"

Kali and the street kids soon ended up at a local restaurant where they came up with a plan. Half of the gang would go inside to steal some food while Kali and the rest of them waited until a family was done eating their meal.

"Alright, go!" Kali signaled the others.

After the family left, Jesse, Kali and the other kids ran over to the table and collected as much scraps of food as they could, then ran off with the rest of the street kids.

Later, they also ended up finding a birthday cake in the back of a car that was left open.

"Let's celebrate back at the skatepark" Perry suggested.

That night, the street kids all hung out at the skateboarding rink while eating all the food they collected.

The kids quickly grew bored and started talking about their backstories and what they wanted to do with their lives. The other kids laughed when Kali said she wanted to train orcas and other animals, but Jesse seemed quite interested.

The kids continued their conversations, until they suddenly heard police sirens.

"Oh, great, it's the cops! RUN!" Perry shouted.

"Everybody, follow me!" Kali called out, leading the way.

The street kids all ran together but knew they couldn't outrun the police.

"Let's split up!" Kali suggested.

The kids did so and went their separate ways to avoid being caught by the police all at once.
