Elena Gilbert is no doubt gorgeous. She is one of the most beautiful girls in her high school, if not the most. Elena Gilbert doesn't chase after boys, boys chase after her.
So what is she doing now calling Klaus Mikaelson and leaving pathetic little voicemails hoping he would call her back?
Well there's a first time for everything.
It had been two weeks since their explosive fight and Elena had been avoiding pretty much everybody. Stefan, in the first week, had left her a couple of voicemails but then stopped bc he must be trying to give her "space." Damon, on the other hand, was relentless. In the first week, he had called her multiple times a day the whole week and now it was only once a day with messages like "look, I'm sorry if I did anything wrong. Please call me back. I'm worried about you." Caroline and Bonnie also tried calling, but like Stefan, they soon stopped. She didn't want to speak to anyone. It wasn't that she was depressed. She just didn't have the energy to deal with her friends.
But after 2 weeks of calling Klaus' voicemail, she grew tired and decided to take matters into her own hands.
Elena dressed up in a pink dress that she knows would hug her figure and drove to the Mikaelson house. She knocked on the door expecting to meet Elijah or Klaus but instead, she was greeted by Rebekah.
"Elena?" Rebekah said in a surprised tone, "what the hell are you doing here?"
"I need to speak to Klaus," Elena said nervously as she remembered their last encounter where Rebekah almost killed her by standing in the middle of Hickery bridge causing her and Matt to go over into the river.
"Hmph," Rebekah sighed before turning around and walking towards the staircase. Elena took that as a sign to go inside and closed the door behind her.
"Nik!" Rebekah yelled. "The doppelgänger is here to see you!" Elena rolled her eyes at the fact that Rebekah is still holding the grudge against her.
"Rebekah," Elena said. The blonde original turned around and gave Elena an exasperated look. "I already apologized to you about the thing. Can we get past this?"
"You stabbed me in the back, Elena!" Rebekah said bitterly. "Quite literally."
"I know and I'm sorry. I thought you were the bad guy. You know I love my friends and I was trying to protect them."
Rebekah took a few steps towards Elena. "I'm always the bad guy, aren't I?" Elena looked down in guilt. "You know, Elena, I wanted to be your friend. I thought that I was your friend, but you betrayed me." Rebekah shook her head in disappointment. "So much for loyalty, right?"
Just as Rebekah finished, Klaus showed up on the top of the stairs. His eyes widen when he spots Elena and was turning around to leave when both girls look up at him.
"Nik, finally," Rebekah turned around to face Elena, "I have some shopping to do." And with that, she walked away.
"Klaus," Elena said. Klaus looked like he hadn't slept in days and his hair was a mess. "You look horrible."
Klaus chuckled. "Well thank you, love. I can always count on you to tell me what's on your mind." He turns around and walks away. Elena follows him.
"Look I'm sorry about what I said before okay? I didn't mean it like that. I was just... scared."
"Well that's nice, love. You can leave now, there's a reason why I haven't returned your calls, I don't want to talk to you."
"Ouch," Elena said. Klaus opens the door to a room and Elena walks inside. There were paintings all over the walls and the floor. "Is this what you've been doing? I can tell that you've been busy." She walks over to a sketchbook and saw that it was of a brunette sleeping on a white bed. It looks like her. "Who is this? Is this me?"
