Chapter 7

    "You will not give up on me Adam!" I demanded. "We will get through this...one way or another."

    "Why ...why are you... doing this?"

    "I'm helping out a friend...now stop talking, save your energy" He obeyed and stopped talking. I was going to try my best to help him. Even though I wanted Ty out of my life, Jerome would never forgive me for that...I still can't believe he's my soulmate. I have to be more careful now. If something happens to me, the same will happen to him.

   I led him upstairs. My plan was to pretend he was my meal and I was going to make them think he was going to take me to the rest of his family for a full meal to myself. Hopefully they buy it because I don't have a backup plan.

    "Prince Mitch what are you doing with that thing?!" A servant asked.

    "Does it matter?!" I snapped.

    "My apologies sir." She continued dusting off the old pictures that were hanging on the clean white walls. I noticed in one of the pictures, it had my father, mother, and myself. I was wearing that same bracelet I gave to Jerome 10 years ago. Ever since then, my father has been desperately searching for it. He never told me why so I never told him where to find it.

     "Where are you taking me?" Adam managed to whisper. I didn't answer back. I couldn't risk someone overhearing me and following me to Jeromes little cavern.

      I made it out the front doors but the blood rushing through Adams veins were calling for me. I needed to resist the temptation. I needed to do this for Jerome. If he weren't my soulmate I wouldn't be going through so much. I dragged Adam through the forest. I knew a shortcut to Jeromes place. I looked over my shoulder and Adam was getting even more pale. He seemed to be struggling to keep eyes opened.

     "I-I can't...make...it..." He breathed. I lifted his legs and carried him bridal style. I needed to give him a reason to keep going. Something to motivate him to be strong.

     "Do it for Ty." I said looking down. His eyes glistered when he heard that name. I used my vampire speed to get to the cavern faster. He might just make it. Might.

    Ty's breathing was getting heavy. His heartbeat was slowing down as well. The worst part was that I couldn't do anything about it. The only person who could determine whether he lived or died was Adam.

      "I'm so sorry I put you guys in this..." I cried on Ty's chest. He was laying on my lap and I had my arms wrapped around him, rocking back and forth as my mother would do to me when I was scared or hurt. "Ty please keep fighting...I can't afford to lose anymore family..." I begged.

     The door flew open and in came Mitch with Adam in his arms. Adam was covered in blood. He was as pale as Mitch when he's in his vampire form! He gently laid him on the bed.

      "Th-thanks ..for....everything... I...love... you.. brother.." Adam whispered. His eyes slowly closed. Both Ty's and Adam's breathing stopped. Ty's body went limb on my arms. My mouth slightly opened, not believing that it had ended here. One followed by another, tears escaped my eyes. Ty and Adam were dead...My best friends have died... My last bit of family has left me.

      I held Ty tighter and cried into the crook of his neck. It can't end like this. I promised them we'd always fight together. I promised them that no matter what, I'd defeat the King of Hell and bring freedom to all humans. I promised them we'd finally live a life with peace. Together, As brothers.
