Chapter 14

   I felt his urge to run and hide. I feel the way he's holding back tears. Horrible thoughts crowded his mind in which transferred to my head. I held his hand tighter to prevent him to running away.

   "You will respect him." I demanded.

   "Guys, we trust Jerome, he trusts Mitch maybe we should too. Jerome wouldn't include him if he wasn't necessary here but he's here now, so how about we just give him a chance?" Jason recommended. Everyone slightly nodded but you could tell they weren't all too confident.

  "Good. Now that this is settled, I'll began to choose your places in where you'll be when they attack. We'll have people hidden in the trees looking out for them. When the time comes, we strike." I instructed. "Jason you'll be in charge of telling wolves and humans where to stand. Remember to choose wisely." Jason nodded. "Mitch come with me, we'll do the sorcerers and witches." I said. I still had a hold of his hand in case someone tries something stupid.

   The people knew where they would be hiding now. The rangers were above on the trees. Skilled warriors were on ground hiding in different places where they'd camouflage The witches and sorcerers were scattered all over the place, they'll be handy every where. Once everything was settled people began leaving. Tomorrow they'd be back to train. Meanwhile I'll figure out what to do with Mitch. I need him to do something to gain their trust. Although it's going to be tough because I, myself, aren't too confident in him.

   "Hey Jerome?" Mitch asked shyly. Before I could reply he smashed his lips onto mine. I got a tingly feeling inside that I hated but loved at the same time. His cold, soft lips moved into a beautiful rhythm. His hands moved to my waist pulling me closer. I tangled my fingers into his hair and wrapped my other hand on his neck. He licked my bottom lip and I parted my lips causing his tongue to shoot into my mouth. I didn't bother to fight for dominance. I just let him do his thing. He slowly pulled back and smiled.

   "Sorry I've been wanting to do that for a while now." He said while his pale cheeks started to blush like crazy. And I gotta say it was quite adorable.

   "You look cute when you blush you know." I said smirking causing him to look down trying to hide it.

   "Well it's getting dark out, we better go." He said.

   "Hey um, Mitch before you go, we need to talk about something I've been thinking about." He looked at me worryingly. "It's nothing necessary but it'd be kind of nice..." I trailed off.

   "What do you mean?"

   "When are we going to start spending some time with each other?...Alone?…I mean all we do is train and kill.."

   "Jerome, look-"

   "You know what never mind. This is probably a stupid idea anyway. I'll see tomorrow, right?" I said sadly. He sighed.

   "Yeah I'll go to your place first thing in the morning."

   As soon as he told me about spending more time together alone, my heart exploded from the excitement. I've been wanting to be with him alone for a while now. If only he was a vampire I wouldn't have to hide him, no, us. Maybe one of these days I'll convince him to let me bite him. One can only hope.

   I walked back home with a smile on my face the whole way that is until my father came out furious. His hands we're clutched into a fist.

   "Mitchell. Donald. Ralph. Hughes. You are in huge fucking trouble!" He screamed. "I had a fellow vampire follow your tracks. You've been lying to me this whole time haven't you?!"

   "Dad-I...It's not like that!" I lied.

   "Oh really? Tell me what you were doing with the humans and wolves!"

   "I-I'm pretending to be one of them! I'm figuring out what they're planning right now!" I quickly lied. His expression softened.

   "Prove it." He commanded.

   "What?" I asked.

   "Tell me, what are they doing so far? If you really are on our side, what are they doing?" He asked eagerly.
