Davids pov

"I just got a text from mom I have to go home for dinner," Liza says getting up and grabbing her school bag.

"wait," I say. She turns to me and I grab her and kiss her on the lips, "please don't get mad, I promise I'll break up with Gabbie soon then I'll be yours for real."

She smiles but looks worried, "What about our friendship with Gabbie?"

"She's so rude to you Liza you do not need her."

"Gabbie is my best friend, she just sometimes gets a bit to mad." Liza says pulling away from our hug angrily.

"Sorry, you're right." I say.

She nods, "ok see you!" She says.

"Love you, bye!" I say smirking.

She laughs but there's an edge to it...

Lizas pov

I get into my car to drive home when my cell phone rings.

Gabbie is calling.

"Hello?"

"Liza HELP," she says sounding like she's crying.

"What's wrong babe?"

"I'm at a party and... and I kissed Zane!"

My mouth drops, "Gabbie!!"

I hear a door open and voices talking through the phone. Gabbie ends the call.

<11 pm>

I'm on my phone watching Snapchat and I receive an incoming FaceTime
From David.

I pick up, I'm comfortable around him
Now to not look good 24/7.

"Hey," he says. He's sitting at his desk with his glasses on doing his homework.

"You look cute," I say grinning.

He stops writing and looks up at me and smiles.

"Do you want to kiss me?" He asks smirking.

I hesitate.

"No, I'm sorry Liza I know I shouldn't kiss you when I'm with Gabbie..." he says sighing.

"No that's not what I mean.. um
I was on the phone with Gabbie earlier and..," I start.

"What?"

"She told me she was at a party and she kissed Zane," I said.

David grins, "That gives me the perfect reason to tell her why I'm breaking up with her the "

I pause, "no David she'll know I told y-"

"THANKS LIZA I LOVE U," David yells and hangs up on me.

I scream in frustration.

Davids pov

<the next day - before school>

I find Gabbie at our bench.

"Hey babe!!" She says happily.

"Er Gabbie can I talk to you?" I ask, nervously.

I start to realise how bad this could be I could lose my best friend.

"Yea?" She says.

"Well I heard you kissed Zane last night so I want to break up..." I say, stuttering, "we can still be friends."

She opens her mouth in shock, "I didn't do that!!! I wasn't even at a party last night!!"

I'm so nervous I don't think properly, I believe Gabbie she seemed so genuine.

"Oh really. Well Liza said. I wasn't sure... babe."

She smiles and hugs me.

Liza comes up to us, she looks at me as if to ask have I done it yet.

"So Liza telling my boyfriend lies about me kissing Zane?" Gabbie says.

"That wasn't a lie you told me!!" Says Liza looking stunned.

"We're done Liza." Gabbie says.

"David?" Liza asks.

I hesitate then make the worst decision in my life," go away Liza.."
