Chapter 12

Lizas pov

/10pm/

I walk down the pier shivering. It's so cold even with jeans and a hoodie. I look around and see the stars, the arcades and the Ferris wheel are shut down but I see people walking around. The pole lamps shine bright and leave a purple yellow glow across the beach.

I text David.
I'm here.

He instantly replies
Meet me at the end of the
Pier

I groan with the thought of walking all that way but I do it for David.

I finally reach the end of the pier and see David looking out at the waves. I take a photo of him without him seeing me because it looked aesthetic.

My phone camera makes a noise as I take the photo and he
Turns and
Sees me.

"I was just taking a selfie," I say.

He laughs and hugs me.

"Liza let's talk I have some explaining to
Do."

"Damn right you do," I say.

We sit at the nearest bench seat.

"First off. Sorry for blowing you off about the Gabbie and Zane kissing thing I wasn't thinking right. Also how I've been ignoring you these past days I have alot
Going in my head, I guess I forgot about your feelings. I love Gabbie as a best friend but never as a girlfriend, I am going to break up with her soon I promise but I don't need help."

I nod, "but David..." I say looking down at the ground.

"What?"

"Do you still have feelings for me?" I ask quietly.

There is silence and all I can hear is the wind and waves crashing violently.
I look up to see if he's okay and he's already staring at me, with his deep eyes I seem to fall into.

"Liza of course I do. I think, maybe I love you even." He says looking straight at me so I know he's not joking around.

I don't know what to say I'm so touched.

I smile at him shyly, "I love you David, I just wish we could be real."

"I know ba- Liza I promise I'll end it with Gabbie as soon as I can."

"This week?" I ask.

He hesitates. There is only four days of the week left.

"Okay I promise."

"Promises mean a lot to me so don't break it." I say.

"I promise I won't," he says laughing at
His joke but it's not really funny.

I laugh sarcastically.

"So how do you feel about Mia?"

"She's nice but I sense you and Gabbie don't like her." He says.

"Yeah she seems to nice to be real," I say.

I check the time and it's 11:00.

"I gotta head home. I have a math test tomorrow and I need to sleep," I say.

"Same," David says and we stand up. He grabs my hand and we walk to
Our cars.

"I had a good time, thanks for listening and understanding," says David as we stop at my car.

"No problem I had a good time aswell," I say, we hug and I get into my car.
