I hurried and cleaned my flat up and ran to the bathroom to give my face a quick shave. I hadn't seen Pria in awhile and I didn't really feel like having her see both me and the flat looking like shit.

Just as I'd got done shaving and taking the trash out I heard her car pull up. Exhausted as I was, I still managed to make a run for it back upstairs before she could catch me doing some last minute cleaning. Just minutes after I got off of the plane last night she called me.

"I'll stop by and see you tomorrow while I'm in town visiting mum."

She said, sounding like she'd crying.

The thought of her being upset tired me. I just got back from tour late last night and the first thing I come home to is an emotional girlfriend. As selfish as that may sound I have enough stress as is, so to have to hear her constantly nag about her problems is enough to make me want to sign myself off to a psych ward.

Just as I opened the fridge to grab a water I heard a soft knock on the door.

It was her.

Quickly I adjusted my attitude to peppy, so she wouldn't see how exhausted and stressed I really was and possibly become more distraught.

I opened the door to find her staring at the floor with both hands shoved down in her coat pockets. Before I could say anything she practically walked through me, bumping into my shoulder as she made her way silently to the sofa.

I gently shut the door and walked over to sit across from her on the other sofa.

She sighed heavily before speaking and I attempted not to yawn.

"Michael, we need to talk."

Her tone already was already a dead give away that this wasn't about to be a light topic. And Michael? what the- she never calls me by my full first name unless she's reeaallyy upset. I was becoming more nervous by the second.

"Ok..do you want anything to drink first?" I asked her quietly, in hopes to calm her nerves.

She was acting very strange. Not like the usual happy go lucky Pria that I knew and loved.

"No, I'm not staying long." She answered shakily.

"Erm, alright." I slowly responded.

She came to see me because she said we had something important to discuss. Things have been different between us, no doubt about it. I've noticed the difference and part of me dreads what she has to say, but the other part of me wants this to all be said and done, because the suspense is about to put me into cardiac arrest for sure.

"You know, you can tell me anything." I say, taking her hand in mine until she jerks it away and avoids my glance. I know then that this isn't going to be good.

"First off I want you to know that I fought for us. I did my best to make this work. I really did. But this isn't a problem either one of us can solve Michael."

Goddammit I really wish she'd stop using my full name, it weirds me out. I don't answer her, instead I keep staring at her waiting for her to finish.

"At first, we were perfect, I thought nothing could break us up." She sighed for what seemed like the millionth time already.

"I was wrong." She added with an unnerving gulp.

I felt numb. Slowly figuring out where she was going with this.
