Chapter Thirteen

Jessy's P.O.V.

"Jessy!!" my mom called me. I was in my room playing dolls and stuffs. I rushed to the living room and saw my mom, dad and our new member of the family!

"Here is your baby sister!!" mom showed me the baby she's carrying in her arms, my little sister. She's so cute and adorable! She has a cute bubbly cheeks that you just wanted to pinch it and she's like a little angel when she sleeps.

"What's her name dear?" dad asked mom.

"Hmmm.... I not sure." mom answered.

"What do you think should we call her Jessy?" mom asked me. I thought of it for a second then I finally come up with a perfect name for her. I snapped my fingers.

"Jessica!" I said happily. My parents laughed.

"Ok! We'll call her Jessica!" my mom cuddled Jessica. After that my mom made a delicious dinner. My dad and I enjoyed the food that my mom prepared for us. Then we went to sleep.

The next day, my mom woke me up early because I have to go to school. She also woke my dad because he also has to go to work.

I hurriedly went to the bathroom and took a bath then put on my uniform. I went downstairs to see mom preparing us a breakfast. She made us lunch too and put it inside our lunch boxes.

"Bye mom!" I said and kissed her in the cheek. I also went to Jessica's crib and kissed her cheek.

"Bye Jessica!" I went outside our house and hop inside the car and went to school.

School time wasn't over yet but my dad excused me from the class and went inside our car. He quickly turns the engine on and hit the road.

I turn to see dad on the front seat. Dad expression is making me freaked out a little bit. Well... it's not a creepy look but his face looks like something has gone bad. Where are we going? Then I saw house from the distance. It looks like on...fire. Wait, FIRE?!! OH NO!! Mom! Jessica! And now, I'm totally freaked out!

"MOM!!"

"JESSICA!!"

"NO!!"

I opened my eyes and saw that I am in a hospital and Jessica on the hospital bed. It's all just a dream. A bad dream. I closed my eyes and covered my face with my hands. Ugh! I wish it was all a dream... but that really happened. After that, mom died and Jessica went missing. We thought we'd never find her again but a miracle happened.

Want to find out what happened? Then listen. I was having a check-up with my doctor and went to get some sleeping pills for my insomnia. Because of what happened to mom and Jessica I can't sleep until now. I was about to leave the hospital when I saw a familiar face. She looks like...Jessica. Could it be? They are taking her to the surgery room. I just followed them there then I saw the girl handing a pink piece of paper to a boy the boy looks confused.

"That's a letter for you guys." she said. The boy took the letter and hand it to another boy then he looked at her again.

"Just hang on okay??" she nods. Oh my god I'm getting teared up while watching them. Then they took the girl inside the surgery room. Suddenly a girl came running in with a boy.

"Where's Lyla?" she asked. Lyla? Do they mean the girl inside the surgery room?

"Inside the surgery room." the other boy answered then gave her the pink piece of paper. The girl looks at the boy with confused look.

"A letter from Lyla." The girl read what's inside the paper out loud and it made me cry as the girl finished reading it. Good thing I have my sand glasses on. By the way, they didn't saw me because I hid myself in the corner. A few minutes, the doctor went outside the surgery room with a sad face.

"I'm sorry ma'am, sir but....... she's dead." Omo! She's dead? That's sad. The boy and girl hugged while the others just bowed down their heads and they all cried. The doctor went inside the surgery room. That's really sad. They all left but I stayed outside the surgery room for a while. All the things that happened are still processing inside my head. I was about to leave when the doctor went outside again.

"Wait!" is he talking to me? I faced him and pointed at me.

"Yes you. Did the people her a minute ago left?" why is he asking anyway?

"Yes. They did. Why?" I responded.

"Are you perhaps one of them?" he asked. Hmm... I'm curious of what he's going to say, so I'll just play along then.

"Yeah, I just arrived. So what happened to Lyla doc?" I lied. I have no other choice.

"Well... the thing is that we thought she is dead.... but... suddenly... I was wrong." what?

"What are you saying doc?"

"She's alive! Her heartbeat just stopped." Omo! She's alive!!

"How is she doc?"

"She's ok. She's just unconscious." that's great!

"Umm... doc? Can I have a DNA test of Lyla?" I asked hoping that he would agree.

"Ok miss." He responded. Yes!!

"Thank you doc." I smiled and waved at him as he enters the surgery room.

The DNA result is positive which means Lyla is Jessica, my long lost sister. Finally we've found her! I walked around the room and also went to see outside the window. Philippines is one of the most beautiful country in Asia. There are lots of tourist spots that I wanted to see but too bad we're going to leave and go to Korea once Jessica is recovered.

When I turn to see Jessica, I was shocked because her fingers are moving and her eyes are starting to open. Omo!

"Doctor!! Nurse!!" I called.

"Where am I?" she asked.

"In the hospital." I answered almost teared up when I heard her voice.

"Who are you? Who am I?" I was shocked by that question. She can't remember? It took a few seconds before I spoke.

"I am Jessy, your older sister and your Jessica." I answered. She stared at me for a while then she spoke.

"Why are you crying sister?" am I? I touched my cheeks and it was wet. I quickly wiped my tears away and looked at her.

"It's nothing." I answered.

The doctor and nurses took care of her for a while to check if she's fully recovered. After a few days, Jessica is finally out of the hospital then we went straight to the airport. She's a lot better now. She's energetic and happy all the time.

Then I started to remember about Jessica's friends. I felt bad for them though. They thought that Jessica is dead but the truth is she is here with me and our dad. But they've been with her for a long time while me and my dad struggled to find her. So I think it's pretty fair, right?

                      Sorry for not updating so soon. The thing is that my computer didn't function for a few days and my works is in the computer including this story. That's the no. 1 reason. No. 2 is that I keep changing my mind for the events of these chapter. No. 3 is sometimes I'm lazy in writing the chapters. I don't know guys, sometimes I feel tired but sometimes I'm not. Anyways, wait for the next chapter guys and I hope you'll like this one.
