Felix settled one of the grocery bags down so he could unlock the door. When he opened it, he was startled when Dawn came up to him in a rush, a magazine in her grip.

"Woah there!"

"You didn't tell me!" She shouted, eyes wide with excitement.

Welp. Guess she already knew...

"Well, kid, you didn't ask." Felix said with a smile. He crouched down to get the grocery bag he had put down.

He walked straight into the kitchen and settled the bags onto the dining table.

"That's why I thought you were so familiar!" Dawn squealed behind him.

"Oh yeah?" Felix asked and started to walk out of the kitchen, Dawn trailing behind.

"Yes! Hope used to be a big fan of yours!"

"Really?" He asked, walking out of the house. Dawn stopped at the doorway, knowing she couldn't walk on the ground barefoot.

Or she couldn't walk on the ground with her feet on bandages.

When he came back, he had another bag of groceries on his left arm and a box of pizza on his right hand.

"So, you play video games?" Dawn started asking when he entered the house. She showed her the page of the magazine where Felix had a stolen shot of him in his gaming room.

Felix handed the box of pizza to Dawn so he could lock the door. After doing so, he turned around to face her.

"Yeah. I mean... I used to." Felix said, a hint of sad tone was evident in his voice.

"You used to? So you don't upload videos anymore?" The kid asked, her excitement burning out a little. She lowered the magazine she was holding.

"Yeah..." After she died, yeah, Felix thought.

After a moment of silence, Dawn beamed at him.

"Sooo... can we play a video game?" She asked, excitement coming back to her voice.

Felix thought for a second. He looked at Dawn, ruffled her hair and answered with a smile, "After dinner."

"Really?" She squeaked. Felix nodded and she squealed. She was so excited she rushed off to the kitchen with the box of pizza chanting, 'we're playing a video game!' over and over.

Felix chuckled.

He followed Dawn into the kitchen wherein the kid was already dispersing the supplies he bought.

"You sure your feet is doing fine?"

"Yep!" Dawn squeaked, climbing up a chair with a bag of chips in his hand, opened the cupboard and placed the chips inside.

"So what do you want for dinner? Seems like you're busy with that so I'll just be the one who'll cook."

"Pizza!" Dawn yelled, running around the kitchen.

Felix leaned onto the frame of the doorway, "Well, ain't that unhealthy for a growing kid like you?"

Dawn stopped to look at the gamer, "Ain't that unhealthy for a growing old guy like you?"

"Fair point," Felix said with a smile and moved away from the doorway, "Let me help you with that."

They were shuffling at the kitchen for almost an hour before they had everything settled.
